Remarks

The college has a good Repuation and is one of the top colleges in delhi university, it is known for my course, the faculty is good and so is the locality. The crowd is nice and woke. It is a girls college so that was plus point.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is a little outdated and very theoretical knowledge and not practical knowledge. The faculty is box of chocolates, they're all different, differently opinionated which does impact the studies, the course being journalism; but more or less they're good professors.

Internships Opportunities

I have done internships as content writer in some blogs and magazines, the payment was per word ranging from 0.50-1 rupee per word. I didn't get any of these from the college.

Placement Experience

1.5

I have attended an intership fair, the management was pretty good and the companies were okayish, a lot of my friends, including me interviewed but we did not get a response so I don't know how affective it was. From what I've heard the placement cell is not very active or useful.

College Events

2.5

The college life is not very happening there are barely in events apart from society and department fests. The college doesn't organise as many extracurricular activities as I think other DU colleges do. The college cultural fest is counted in the top but there are many above us.

Campus Life

4

There is no network in the college, the library is pretty good and big. The ground is also sufficiently big. The chaupal is a very pleasant place for chilling. The canteen food is not that great but works. The classroom infrastructure is satisfactory. I haven't been in any labs because my course doesn't require it but I have friends in psychology and the lab equipment is not sufficient for all students during a practical from what I hear.

I wanted to choose this course as it has a holistic curriculum and gives various opportunities after graduation. We can have more practical based teaching instead of theoritical so that it can become easier to grasp

Placement Experience:

Our college has a very active and effective placement cell. Major companies like Goldman Sachs, Bain among many others come on campus for not just placements but also internships. Average and Median packages are between 8 and 10 lakh per annum, with highest packages going up to 25 lakhs. Many also go for postgraduate education, such as MBA after CAT, or to reputed colleges like the DSE for MA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is just like any other college, and you need to do a lot of the skill enhancement by yourself. Here, you will learn something, but not everything that is relevant. The professors will teach according to the syllabus, be it really relevant in real life or not. Everything that you will be learning will be relevant for career in this field, but not enough. You require to put some extra efforts to gain more knowledge and practice.

Placement Experience:

Students typically become eligible from 3rd year/6th semester onwards for most companies. Some internships and tech roles may be available to 2nd-year students depending on the company criteria. Placement Percentage: Usually, 70–85% of eligible students get placed, depending on the stream. Highest placement rates are often in Computer Science, Economics, and Commerce streams. My plan is to become a software engineer.
