Remarks

Good aspects- 1) nice infrastructure specially auditorium is amazing I think that's the best part about our college.its not huge like other colleges but it's beautiful and unique. classes are also spacious. 2) Departmental and college fest are great opportunity to learn new skills like management, coordination etc 3) societies like dramatics and environment are good place to contribute towards your personality development. 4) Canteen has good and reasonable menu.. Bad aspects-1) politics it's good for those who wanna pursue politics in future or wanted to be politician but for those who are not interested it can be bothersome. 2) Placement you won't get Admission process is online around in June it's start It was near metro and my house that's why first preference

Course Curriculum Overview

History is one of my favourite subject that's why I took it. Department of history had great faculty members. Teaching methodology they use was quite good.Debate , discussion etc was common in our classes. Assignment and tests are not at all easy it was quite difficult to get good score. Every assignment and presentation was critically reviewed by our lecturers. Term exams wasn't that difficult if you analyse last year's papers u ll get to know the pattern of the exam and you can prepare it accordingly.

Around 20% Students get placement but not from my department in last semester students get eligible for placement interview

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees was reasonable around 18k for whole graduation plus examination fees around 3k. I didn't get any financial aid or job

Campus Life

We usually had 6 major fests 1) Departmental freshers party 2) College freshers party 3) Departmental farewell party 4) college farewell party 5) Annual departmental fest Heuristics 6) Annual college fest Apart from these societies also have fests like environmental, dramatics, and cultural societies etc Class had good chairs and tables plus white board There were sports club also

Course Curriculum Overview:

university of delhi have have started compulsory of courses such as VAC ,SEC and many other skill enhancement courses so that you not only rely upon your degree but you enhance your Interpersonal Skills , Communication Skills ,Speaking Skills as in future all jobs and placements are skill based not degree based so for enhanceing and developing a good personality these courses played a major role. The timings of examination were between 2,30-5,30 Pm 3 hours exam water facility was provided during the exam tenure. If in case you forgot to attend or submit your either of IA/CA you may get an essential repeat er even iof you pass in the written exam .

Not my first choice, but not a Bad one either

Course Curriculum Overview:

British classics, Indian writing, postcolonial literature builds a strong foundation in literary analysis, critical thinking, and interpretation, which are useful skills. As for comprehensiveness, the curriculum is quite broad. It covers multiple literary periods, genres, and critical theories over the three years, so you’re not really missing out on the essentials. In that sense, it feels academically complete. But sometimes, it leans more towards breadth over depth you move quickly from one topic to another.

There's a placement cell and placement drives do happen in college but genuinely the package offered is not really considerable. After the 4th semester students are considered to sit in the placement drives though I would say it is not very efficient and fruitful.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The reason why I choose this subject because I like history and want to know more about it . History have the best opportunities to pursue the UPSC , Anthropology, archeology and we can learn more about historical researches . The faculty im the department of history is updated and well versed in the field of history and have adopted student friendly teaching methods which make me suggest this subject in JMC to the students who likes to pursue higher studies in history. The exams are conducted at the end of every semester with moderate difficulty level .

Overall, it is a good college.

Before Satyawati College, I applied to various other colleges of Delhi University according to the eligibility. Eligibility criteria of the admission was the marks that the students secured in class 12th. Most of the colleges' cutoffs were above 97 percent and my score was 93.8 percent. Satyawati College Review: what to expect

The admission process for DU happens through the CUET UG exam, followed by the CSAS where students fill out their college and course preferences. I had placed satywati college at the seventh position in my preference list and based on my CUET score and eligibility, I was allotted this college. while i had higher preferences, I couldn't make it to those due to high cutoffs in popular north campus colleges. however, Satyawati offered a decent academic environment and the course i wanted, so i confirmed my admission here....Read More
