Entrance Preview

JECA- This is the entrance exam organised by Joint entrance board of west Bengal for MCA. This exam after passing the graduation. This will have mostly maths and aptitude based exam.

Course Curriculum Overview

MCA- as you it stands for Masters of Computer application,This will have semester based and 3 years course, The subjects mostly will have computer related and maths.

Internships Opportunities

TCS, CTS, Wipro, and many other company came. I have not got job through the campus placement, so I can not tell about the stipend and all. But as far as I know there was a minimum 300000 pkgs everyone has got who got placed through campus placement.

Placement Experience

As I have passed in the year of 2010 and that was the time of rescission in the whole world that time the placement not happened properly as most of the big company's .They friezed there vacancy. But now I see there are very nice placements are happening.

College Events

There are lot of events that we used to celebrate, like annual techfeast, college social, freshers welcome. Recently they have started celebrating alumni day, which was a very nice time that we had spent.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As this is a private college so the fees structure is little bit high, we paid 27500 for each of the semester. But now I don't have any idea about the fees structure, this may have increased.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship I had not got, but I took the loan facility. In that my college helped me a lot, even for the first semester fees they waited till my loan got sanctioned, and that really helped me.

Campus Life

My campus life was awesome, I enjoyed fullest of my college days everything was there, there was a ground where we used to play cricket or football. And labs and all was very good.

Alumni/Alumna

As we were the first batch so we did not have any senior. We were the first alumni, but we have good relationships with our juniors. We even attended the latest alumni day at college, which happened in last february.

Exam Structure

As the college comes under the West Bengal University of Technology so it actually follows the universities exam structure. So these is semester based, each semester months

My College in my eyes, at 2026

Likes

Labs and classrooms are good enough. Highly advanced technologies are used in classroom. All machineries works perfectly. Computers and AC s are good enough. So many types of operating systems are also available.

Dislikes

There is no enough space in our campus. Ground is not cleared in regular basis. Sports activities are less. Cultural programmes are less. Bulidings and lift facility should be better. Along with a better canteen required.

Placement Experience:

From 2nd semester, students eligible for campus placements. Tcs, wipro, cognizant visited over the year. Highest and lowest not known. 20% students got placed from here in average. I'll persue intership or job.

One of the biggest advantage is many reputated companies are participating in placement.where most of the MCA and engineering students are get job offer.
IEM provide great facilities and Infrastructure.
Faculties are having many year experience and their teaching quality is best

Dislikes

Our college is very strict for attendence and discipline policies.student required to minimum 75% attendance.

Course Curriculum Overview:

According to course curriculum i give 8.5 out of 10.The curriculum covers most of the important chapters required for future career in IT and Software Industry.These curriculum are very helpful for real world application because our teacher are focused both theory and practical learning.

Likes

Our college Infrastructure is best and balanced, all types of facilty provide us by collge.
Our college have good faculty they teach us effective way and friendly, supportive manner.
Beside course , college provide us good opportunities like coding competition, free internships, workshop, and many more

Dislikes

Firstly that I disliked is about college location , It is far from city and belongs in little rural area.
Secondly there need to a selection process before college admission that will help good student selection.
Thirdly girls and boys ration is 1:4 this disbalanced student communication and campus life.

Placement Experience:

Placement starts after 2nd semester. Top companies TCS, Maventic , Celebal, and Cognizant visit the campus. The highest package is around 10 LPA, and the average is 4 - 5 LPA. About 75 % of students get placed. after completing my degree, I plan to work in the IT industry .

HELPFUL NATURE OF TEACHERS, THEY CAN GUIDE YOU TO GET A GOOD PLACEMENT.
GOOD FACILITIES IN CLASSROOM LIKE AC AND PROJECTOR SCREEN, FREE WIFI AND MANY MORE.
HUGE LAB FOR PRACTICE, TEACHER ARE HELP TO LEARN NEW THINGS.

Dislikes

LOCATION IS A MAJOR DISLIKE FACTOR IN THIS COLLEGE.
CLASS TIMING ARE VERY HIGH AROUND 5-6 HOURS
OTHERWISE NOTHING BAD ABOUT THIS COLLEGE

Placement Experience:

IN DIATM PLACEMENT STARTS FROM 3RD SEMESTER, BUT THE FACULTIES START PREPARING YOU FROM STATING OF THE 1ST SEMESTER. HERE TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, AMAZON, IBM, AND MANY STARTUP COMPANIES CAME FOR ON CAMPUS PLACEMENTS.

Likes

Campus is very pretty and spacious. Parking facility is huge.
In campus ATM of ICICI Bank is there to provide access to cash.

Dislikes

Despite parking facility being huge, there is lack of security.
Most of the time, the ATM is out of service or lacks cash.

Placement Experience:

Students eligible for placements from the 3rd semester. Various companies including MNCs, startups and domestic organisation visit the campus each year for placements. Average package is 3LPA. Most of them get placed in mass recruiting companies.

Likes

The curriculum was generally up-to-date and relevant to industry needs. I particularly appreciated the emphasis on practical applications and hands-on learning through projects and labs. However, some courses in my specialization felt a bit outdated
I appreciate the dedication of the RERF College community to providing a quality education. With continued focus on strengthening specific areas, I'm confident the college will continue to excel in preparing students for successful careers
Overall, I found the admission process to be smooth. The online application portal was easy to navigate and provided clear instructions.

Dislikes

I don't hate anything about college per se. There are some human behaviors and personality traits I don't like, but these also occur outside of college.
As a college student, you may have some professors who are better than others, and some professors may use grading criteria you don't like
College is a wonderful educational experience. It's not always pleasant, but even the unpleasant experiences may teach you important lessons. If you keep that in mind, you may benefit more from college than if you focus on what you hate about it. Bes

Likes

I liked the campus infrastructure and faculty members.
Colege life was decent in amity university.

Dislikes

Especially disliked the cesarian of admission process.

Placement Experience:

If you are doing a 2-year course then you are eligible for campus placement in the 3rd sem as i MCA student. Companies come on a campus like Capgemini, continent, tcs, Infosys, IBM, etc. The highest package of placement this year was 12 lac per annum .85% got placement.

There were few colleges I applied to based on my WBJEE ranks . There was St. thomas college, techno college , heritage , msit and many more . If you know the way of how WBJEE admissions work , you will know we need to give a list of college and they would choose according to our preference and rank . Now according to that , I got this college . Well, if telling why I didn't get applied in other colleges which were much better it was due to my WBJEE rank , which was not that upto mark . Talking about the admission process , its just following the process of WBJEE admissions and on admission day providig the necessary documents needed by the college which will be informed ( or maybe we need to know) . If we talking about cut offs it changes every year so we need to look after it from previous years' cut off list .
