Remarks

The college is ranked 8th in NIRF ranking. Talking about the English faculty of the College is indeed good. The location of the College was also a decing factor in choosing the college. Many of my school seniors belong to the same college which also helped me to admit myself therein. The campus and the area nearby is good. As I am an out-station student, looking for paying guest accommodation and flat in a good, secure area was also important.

Course Curriculum Overview

In course curriculum students should be allowed to choose any subject of his/ her choice. There shall not be an restrictions in chosing options. Academics should be more enriched with quality study, students should be taught multi-dimensional aspect of studies rather than focusing on a single topic. Faculty should be great, e-learning facility should be there to enhanche options to students for doubt clearing sessions in normal physical classes. Proper air-conditioned, notes making shall be digitalized.

Placement Experience

4.5

Good companies visit to our college like Pepsi, cococola, smasung, TOI. They provide great placements at good salary.

College Events

4

I am in English department of Dyal Singh college. Students of literature of DSC organize annual literature festival named Madrigal filled with jiys and colours. For this session I was the treasurer of the Literature society, bond with work and tension. But indeed it was fantastic organizing a big event like Madrigal where we conducted different events like Poetry recitation, games, cultural events related to literature, we put stalls of books, quiz competitions and debate on the flip side. Though we students of English celebrate everyday our annual ceremony in classroom even in the form of normal discussions of debate but for that 3 days of Madrigal the entire college is painted in the colour of literature.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Talkin' about scholarship as my college is under University of Delhi so we are authorized different scholarships programmes by University of Delhi itself.

Campus Life

My college has bug classrooms which can accommodate 50+ students at a time. The time table is not too hectic and easy to sail through six semester system. Well equipped library is there with books covering from all the major field of studies. They even allow students to take book to home but is required to return in due time. The college doesn't have WiFi and air-conditioning facility but fan works. It has basketball court, amphitheatre, auditorium, football ground and parade ground. Overall my college is well equipped with basic facilities and is among prominent college of University of Delhi

Hostel Facilities

I have opted for flat. Where I get food from nearby tiffin system. I live the quality of food served though the charges in Delhi are high Rs.80/ meal but I managed to get a decent tiffin system at Rs.60/ meal. I am used to spend Rs.180/ day on meals. And Rs.20-40 a day.

I chose this course because it is one such course that can never bore you. I have interest in analytical solving and problem solving. The curriculum is much more theory based and doesn't prepare the students much for real world or corporate world applications

One of the MSPs of the college is the placement records. The average stipend is 15 LPA which is commendable for colleges in this league. The summer placements went really great and the entire batch got placed within about 5-6 weeks.
