Course Curriculum Overview

We have total 8 semesters and in each semester there are 5-8 theory subjects and 5-7 practical subjects and all subjects includes great concepts of design and fashion. Exams are conducted twice in year both practical and theory.

Placement Experience

There are high opportunities for students getting placement. Average package of students is around INR 4 lakh. And some companies who offers jobs are AND Design, Bhartiya International Fashion,Orient Craft, Raymonds, Sabyasachi, BlackBerry Clothing and so on.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As this is a master course and courses like this have huge amount of fees but this college demands less as compared to other colleges and provide best quality of study and facilities in the college.My course's total fees is INR 2.27 lakh.

Campus Life

They conducts many conferences,workshops, seminars with experts so that students can gain more knowledge. There are some events like spectrum, Theyyam, NIFT show which is basically a fashion show and many more events are conducted.

Admission

I went on campus tour and I really loved the college so I decided to opt this college for my Masters in design. I gave entrance exam CAT (Creative Ability Test) and GAT (General Ability Test) after qualifying in both exams I was shortlisted for Group Discussion and Personal Interview round which was conducted by college. And then I got admission in this college and submitted all documents for admission process.

Faculty

Faculties are very friendly and keeps motivating students.Almost all faculties have great knowledge about fashion and design.They helps students in every possible way and try to make every lecture interactive and useful.

they do offer placements for both ug and pg. But For Pg Structured palcements are limited. For Pg students, especially in commerce and management placement oppartunites are offered. Sometimes the federal banks and other service centres approached the college for placing the students. The students from our department are placed in companies like( Tata Consultancy services and Accenture) . I think the highest package and average packages are around 25000. After all, my plans are degree is to getting placed in any reputed companies and further more.

Student Experience at NIFT

I had applied to different courses, like law or architecture. But I didn't pursue the above said courses as NIFT gave me a better opportunity to dive into different streams and more interesting perspectives. There was no rejection from any college. There is an entrance exam for B.Des- which consists of 2 written tests - creative aptitude test and genetal aptitude test, followed by a situation test and then admission counselling. I didn't really applied for any other college as my preference was only fixed to national institute. As you know the status and prestige a national institute holds compared to any other private colleges.
