Course Curriculum Overview

We have two options at the time of taking admissions. They are B.Sc (General), B.Sc (Hons.). The course is having main subjects, in which we have to score well. Our college was mainly focused on research and laboratory part, which helped us in learning concepts in real time.

Placement Experience

Yes, our college provides both placements such as job opportunities and internship. When i visited placement cell, my experience is very cool with them. After attending 3 companies, i am selected for any one. After that, in 4th one myself got selected.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our college fee is economical when compared with other colleges. They have taken an mount of Rs. 5,967 for B.Sc (General), Rs. 9,883 for B.SC (Hons) for every year. It was never difficult for me to pay the college fee.

Campus Life

Yes, i have attended different extracurricular activities when i was doing my graduation. I have attended labs, workshops, sports, technical events, cultural events, etc. In all those, my most favorite is playing volleyball. I also won some prizes in that.

Hostel Facilities

No, i have not opted for the hostel. I used to travel from my place to college daily by bus. Actually, our college does not provide the hostel facility. If there would be hostel facility, most of my friends many choose that.

Admission

I had various choices after completing my 12th class. Out of those several opportunities, i choose Bijoy Krishna Girls College and B.Sc course. I have applied online through the college website i.e https://bkgc.in/

Faculty

We have very good faculty team at our college. They are friendly and helped us to choose better career. They are well qualified with good teaching skills. Our faculty made us to learn the good behavior and good academic score.

GO FOR IT!!

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are several prospects, especially peer-to-peer counseling, where you get a mentor. We call it mentor mentee program. So, there will be groups of students, and each group will have a mentor who helps you whenever you face any issues whether in real life or in your academic journey. They’re always there for you. There are also remedial classes, and extracurricular activities are included in the curriculum. You even get the freedom to choose what you want to pursue creatively, like joining poetry clubs and similar groups. Right now, I’m at Banaras University, and the curriculum here is really good. We have sessions on public speaking, how to conduct interviews, and many other practical skills. These are highly commendable because they help you in professional situations like the one I’m in now. However, I would say that teachers could be a bit more active with electronic tools like using PPT presentations or audio-visual methods instead long lecture sessions. As for exams, I wouldn’t say they’re too difficult because there are many weekly assessments and sessionals, which actually help you evaluate yourself better.

Placement Experience:

The placements in our college is decent. The average salary package a student used to get from our college was around 4lakhs to 5 lakhs per annum. Mainly they used to bring non IT companies to the IT students. It was rare that IT companies used to comer in bulk.

Placement are not so good but I can confirm you that if you are good in studies then you will have a min package of 50LPA .Every pharma companies in india or out india contains our alumnis as well as you will get a polite and respectful behaviour in every company after knowing you r passed out from Iopj .

This is the oldest Pharmacy college in India

Remarks:

The college is a good college it is situated beside the district hospital and there is morgue beside it. So students will se many dead bodies been taken. This may be problem for weak heart students. But I thing for a pharmacists he/she should be able to see dead bodies.

Remarks:

Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri is the 1st Pharmacy college in Asia. This is the only one government college in West Bengal. Labs infrastructure is very poor. 100% Placement are done. Our college is very good Pharmacy college in India.

By WBJEE or AIEEE exam you have got a rank for admission in this college.There are 3 concealing process by the wbjee rank card. Then you have to varify your document in reporting centre , after that you go to the college for the admission.
