Course Curriculum Overview

The students who wants to study accounts and Finance can take admission in this course as the college provides the Honours degree in accountancy and Finance. The examination is mostly practicals all the students has to solve the accounts problems.

The college organisers career fair in which the students sometimes get job and there are certain guest who tell the students for guide the students that what they should do after this graduation. Smart students that's the point of a Teacher's very quickly.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees must be paid by the students in every semester that means the fees has to be paid by the students six times in these 3 years. The students who pay the fees late so for them 10 rupees fine per day is imposed by the authorities.

The game the sports is one of the areas in which the students take maximum active participation. There are Inter College and Inter College tournaments and state national and international level meet also.

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

Placement Experience:

The placement record in my college is preety good. 80-90% students are already placed this year. Average package is around 9.5lpa. Companies like ICICI, KPMG, PWC, Vedanta, Mother Dairy and so many are coming for recuiting students.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

Placement Experience:

from 7th semester (for btech students), 9th semester (for dual degree students) students are eligible for campus placements. there are numerous companies which visit the campus...and generally nearly all students get placed during the placement season, but recently there has been recession and companies are not taking less number of the students than they usually do.
