Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is well structured and advanced for a masters in Hindi. Special attention is relayed to grammar, history and teaching skills. The course is of 2 years and exams are held semester wise.

Placement Experience

Although there is no placement opportunity as of yet, the college faculty helps us in getting desired internships. Also some students can work as assistant professors in college and gain experience. I decided to pursue a PhD in language.

College Events

Every year there are cultural events like Bengali cultural week where the traditional Bengali culture is flaunted, also other ethnic culture of the north east are also seen. I participated in traditional dance with my batch mates which was one of the best experience in my life.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for the entire course in M.A in Hindi is around 8,500 Rs, which is very cheap considering the education is of good quality and a good faculty. The fees is paid on academic year basis.

Campus Life

Sports events are organized every year. My college participates in football tournaments like subroto mukherjee and other inter college tournaments. There are also other sports like volleyball and badminton. The people I have met here are some of the most open minded people.

Admission

I took admission in this college in 2017. My admission was done on the basis of marks obtained in bachelor's degree, minimum 50% aggregate required. And relevant scores in entrance exam are needed. Seat are allotted in counselling rounds.

Faculty

The faculty of the college is well versed with their respective subjects. They are always ready to help and guide us whenever we are in an obstacle. The teachers hold advanced degrees and have vast experience.

Heritage Law College is Lovely!!

Placement Experience:

Number of students who have been placed is far less than what it should be ideally. Kolkata is a paradise for law practice as it is the largest city of India and lawyers have always been in demand here. Still only 30% of the students are placed here and that's a big issue considering the name of our college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main thing that I love about the curriculum is that we need to study in depth. Our syllabus contains most basic to really professional level stuff which really help us prepare for real life experiences and further academic pursuits. Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Quite an Average Government College which lacks in infrastructure, faculty, and placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I mentioned, the course curriculum is outdated and no new industry knowledge is being taught. Projects and assignments are also bookish and are just for sake. Teaching methods by teachers are also bookish and backward. The frequency of exams are after every 6 months and are pretty manageable and easy.
