Entrance Preview

NCHMCT, my rank was 1317 and I opt for this institute as it is one of the top colleges for hotel mamagement under central goverment and was 3rd best college after IHM, Pusa and IHM Mumbai.

Course Curriculum Overview

It is a three year degree course having 6 semester in which you have to spend 1 semester in any 5 star hotel so that you can learn how to operate the hotel and have the opportunity of learning through real experience.

Internships Opportunities

All the major hotels and chain hotels came for the campus like ITC, TAJ, OBEROI, MARRIOTT, STARWOODS, 4SEASONS, ARVIND, MC.D, DOMINOES and many food chains companies are doing campusing. The minimum stipend offered during 4 months training period is Rs.1000 .

Placement Experience

The placement of the college during the past was 100%, all the students got the placed in many 5 star hotels and food chains as MT and OT.

College Events

There is a Gourmet night a food festival organised by the student every year in the month of january in which different food was prepared and presented.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite normal and varies upon 30000 to 50000 per semester including the hostel fees and uniform etc. The uniform is provided by the college itself.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offers many scholarship and loan facilities to the brilliant students. The loan facility is offered by the punjab national bank and the scholarship is offered by the MDH and many name fame companies.

Campus Life

The college does many workshops and extracurricular activities to inhance the confidence of the students. The college runs its own restaurant for the faculty members and the food is prepared and served by the students itself so that they can get the real life experience.

Hostel Facilities

I would like to rate the hostel and foods 9.5/10. The food was prepared by the student in the college in the practical classes and was served to the student and faculty members.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are very helpful and they have organised a group named ARS(anti ragging squad) which aids a anti ragging campus. The seniors helps in many matters including the social or professional life and also college have the alumni night in which all the passed out students are invited to share their experience and help the students in the college.

Exam Structure

The exam is conducted by the NCHM and IGNOU, the semester exam is conducted by the NCHM and the IGNOU conducts exam every year.

The faculty in the college was very helpful and knowledgeable. All the teachers and staffs are very talented and help you in every situation wether personal or professional.

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. Placement Experience:

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.
