Remarks

In my regards the college is very good. It has a pleasing campus life that not only help you grow academically but also provides you with the opportunities for overall development as an indivisual. I had one of my best days at Campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

My course was Bsc. in Informational Technology. The course duration was of five years. The course structure is well organised for students to gain in-depth knowledge of subject. Also we had a project in our curriculum to enhance our practical skills

Placement Experience

There are many companies that visit our college during every year end that is nearly in month of March - June. Some of the companies offer training on different technologies used in industry today others offer internship or placement to students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees of my course was 22000 per year . This included tution fees, library charges, sports fees, and examination fees. Other than this we had to pay 1500 as lab charges. I myself find this fees as very affordable and worth the facilities.

Campus Life

We celebrate many festivals and events throughout the year. Events like Independence day, Republic day, Gandhi Jayanti also indian festivals such as Holi, diwali celebration etc. One of my most favourite is College Annual function and Calcutta University Foundation Day.

Admission

The admission was process was on Merit basis. I had good marks in my 10+2 examination and therefore was offered my course of choice in first round of selection as well. The process was held online and cut-off list was displayed on website.

Faculty

The faculties will make you feel like home. Teachers are the best thing about this college. They will help you and stand by you through every thick and thin. They also introduced me to few of my seniors and we turned out to be great friends.

GO FOR IT!!

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are several prospects, especially peer-to-peer counseling, where you get a mentor. We call it mentor mentee program. So, there will be groups of students, and each group will have a mentor who helps you whenever you face any issues whether in real life or in your academic journey. They’re always there for you. There are also remedial classes, and extracurricular activities are included in the curriculum. You even get the freedom to choose what you want to pursue creatively, like joining poetry clubs and similar groups. Right now, I’m at Banaras University, and the curriculum here is really good. We have sessions on public speaking, how to conduct interviews, and many other practical skills. These are highly commendable because they help you in professional situations like the one I’m in now. However, I would say that teachers could be a bit more active with electronic tools like using PPT presentations or audio-visual methods instead long lecture sessions. As for exams, I wouldn’t say they’re too difficult because there are many weekly assessments and sessionals, which actually help you evaluate yourself better.

Placement Experience:

The placements in our college is decent. The average salary package a student used to get from our college was around 4lakhs to 5 lakhs per annum. Mainly they used to bring non IT companies to the IT students. It was rare that IT companies used to comer in bulk.

Placement are not so good but I can confirm you that if you are good in studies then you will have a min package of 50LPA .Every pharma companies in india or out india contains our alumnis as well as you will get a polite and respectful behaviour in every company after knowing you r passed out from Iopj .

This is the oldest Pharmacy college in India

Remarks:

The college is a good college it is situated beside the district hospital and there is morgue beside it. So students will se many dead bodies been taken. This may be problem for weak heart students. But I thing for a pharmacists he/she should be able to see dead bodies.

Remarks:

Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri is the 1st Pharmacy college in Asia. This is the only one government college in West Bengal. Labs infrastructure is very poor. 100% Placement are done. Our college is very good Pharmacy college in India.
