Course Curriculum Overview

My course was of 3 years which offered subjects like European Classical Literature, Indian Classical Literature, Literature and Caste, Women's writing, Forms of Popular Fiction and many more. The course introduces a wide variety of literature in the English language.

Placement Experience

The placement and training cell guides them for their future employments and placements. They aim at Entrepreneurship Development Program, Personality Development Program, Group Discussion Practice, Public Sector Competitive Exams Training.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee for my BA English Honors was Rs. 10,140 for the entire course. The fee was quite low and cost effective as it was Rs. 3,380 for each year. The institute also provided some scholarships as per the guidance of the authorities.

Campus Life

My college held various events like cultural programs, fest, freshers party, farewell party. They also organized sports meet, indoor games competition, debates, dramas to entertain students along with the studies. The programs were celebrated with great passion and enjoyment.

Admission

My admission to this college has been simple process which included filing the application form online on it's official website, filling personal information, uploading scanned documents. We then had to wait for the merit list on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying exams. Then we had to go to the college for further counselling and admission process.

The faculty of our department were Capable of reducing knowledge to its simplest components and Answered questions completely and freely. They used their instructional aids effectively and Related the more important facts and concepts to related fields of study.

GO FOR IT!!

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are several prospects, especially peer-to-peer counseling, where you get a mentor. We call it mentor mentee program. So, there will be groups of students, and each group will have a mentor who helps you whenever you face any issues whether in real life or in your academic journey. They’re always there for you. There are also remedial classes, and extracurricular activities are included in the curriculum. You even get the freedom to choose what you want to pursue creatively, like joining poetry clubs and similar groups. Right now, I’m at Banaras University, and the curriculum here is really good. We have sessions on public speaking, how to conduct interviews, and many other practical skills. These are highly commendable because they help you in professional situations like the one I’m in now. However, I would say that teachers could be a bit more active with electronic tools like using PPT presentations or audio-visual methods instead long lecture sessions. As for exams, I wouldn’t say they’re too difficult because there are many weekly assessments and sessionals, which actually help you evaluate yourself better.

The placements in our college is decent. The average salary package a student used to get from our college was around 4lakhs to 5 lakhs per annum. Mainly they used to bring non IT companies to the IT students. It was rare that IT companies used to comer in bulk.

This is the oldest Pharmacy college in India

Remarks:

The college is a good college it is situated beside the district hospital and there is morgue beside it. So students will se many dead bodies been taken. This may be problem for weak heart students. But I thing for a pharmacists he/she should be able to see dead bodies.

Remarks:

Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri is the 1st Pharmacy college in Asia. This is the only one government college in West Bengal. Labs infrastructure is very poor. 100% Placement are done. Our college is very good Pharmacy college in India.
