Course Curriculum Overview

The college's course curriculum is very vast. There are a large amount of elective subjects to choose from in all the different departments and the courses are also very excellent. There is plenty of focus on research work also as the college has its own publications.

Placement Experience

The placement opportunities offered by the college are very good. The placement cell of the college places students in different companies like TCS, Marriott, ITC, Spicejet and so on. The placement cell also offers may different Skill Development Courses.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is not expensive. The fees per year for the B.Sc course is Rs. 2075 and for the duration of three years 6,225 Rupees. This includes various fees like Exam fees, registration fees etc. The lab fee is separate and varies depending on your specialization.

Campus Life

There are plenty of extracurricular activities in the college. The basketball court and gym are very well equipped and they are always open to all students. The canteen is also very cheap and hygienic, and good food is available.

I got admission in Bijoy Krishna Girls College through online admission. The process is very easy, you just have to go the college official website and fill in all your details along with uploading your documents and registration fees.

GO FOR IT!!

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are several prospects, especially peer-to-peer counseling, where you get a mentor. We call it mentor mentee program. So, there will be groups of students, and each group will have a mentor who helps you whenever you face any issues whether in real life or in your academic journey. They’re always there for you. There are also remedial classes, and extracurricular activities are included in the curriculum. You even get the freedom to choose what you want to pursue creatively, like joining poetry clubs and similar groups. Right now, I’m at Banaras University, and the curriculum here is really good. We have sessions on public speaking, how to conduct interviews, and many other practical skills. These are highly commendable because they help you in professional situations like the one I’m in now. However, I would say that teachers could be a bit more active with electronic tools like using PPT presentations or audio-visual methods instead long lecture sessions. As for exams, I wouldn’t say they’re too difficult because there are many weekly assessments and sessionals, which actually help you evaluate yourself better.

The placements in our college is decent. The average salary package a student used to get from our college was around 4lakhs to 5 lakhs per annum. Mainly they used to bring non IT companies to the IT students. It was rare that IT companies used to comer in bulk.

This is the oldest Pharmacy college in India

Remarks:

The college is a good college it is situated beside the district hospital and there is morgue beside it. So students will se many dead bodies been taken. This may be problem for weak heart students. But I thing for a pharmacists he/she should be able to see dead bodies.

Remarks:

Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri is the 1st Pharmacy college in Asia. This is the only one government college in West Bengal. Labs infrastructure is very poor. 100% Placement are done. Our college is very good Pharmacy college in India.
