Course Curriculum Overview

In my two year course, read a lot about teaching, how to teach small kids and what to expect in the journey of teaching. Apart from the regular exams that were conducted every six months, we also had a training program where we were allotted different schools to teach in.

Placement Experience

We had a training program in which he was allotted different schools but when it comes to placement in job opportunities, we did not have a lot of them. Sometimes the students who go for teaching in a school are hired by that same school only.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total fees is Rs. 35,200. the college has no scholarship online facilities available but they have low fees as compared to other colleges most of the students do not find any difficulty in paying the same.

Campus Life

The college has every facility that we needed throughout our course. The gender ratio of this college is pretty good and I cannot complain about it. This college has a zero tolerance policy against ragging or harassment.

Admission

Eligibility criteria for this course was theorems of bachelor's degree. The college has reserved 50% see those students/applicants who teaches classes 5th to 12th. The other 50% rules are those who are freshers.

Faculty

My teachers were great and since my course was also teaching, I could relate to them and actually know about their career journey. the gives real life experiences and how to tackle the problems in school or college.

GO FOR IT!!

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are several prospects, especially peer-to-peer counseling, where you get a mentor. We call it mentor mentee program. So, there will be groups of students, and each group will have a mentor who helps you whenever you face any issues whether in real life or in your academic journey. They’re always there for you. There are also remedial classes, and extracurricular activities are included in the curriculum. You even get the freedom to choose what you want to pursue creatively, like joining poetry clubs and similar groups. Right now, I’m at Banaras University, and the curriculum here is really good. We have sessions on public speaking, how to conduct interviews, and many other practical skills. These are highly commendable because they help you in professional situations like the one I’m in now. However, I would say that teachers could be a bit more active with electronic tools like using PPT presentations or audio-visual methods instead long lecture sessions. As for exams, I wouldn’t say they’re too difficult because there are many weekly assessments and sessionals, which actually help you evaluate yourself better.

The placements in our college is decent. The average salary package a student used to get from our college was around 4lakhs to 5 lakhs per annum. Mainly they used to bring non IT companies to the IT students. It was rare that IT companies used to comer in bulk.

Placement are not so good but I can confirm you that if you are good in studies then you will have a min package of 50LPA .Every pharma companies in india or out india contains our alumnis as well as you will get a polite and respectful behaviour in every company after knowing you r passed out from Iopj .

This is the oldest Pharmacy college in India

Remarks:

The college is a good college it is situated beside the district hospital and there is morgue beside it. So students will se many dead bodies been taken. This may be problem for weak heart students. But I thing for a pharmacists he/she should be able to see dead bodies.

Remarks:

Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri is the 1st Pharmacy college in Asia. This is the only one government college in West Bengal. Labs infrastructure is very poor. 100% Placement are done. Our college is very good Pharmacy college in India.
