Course Curriculum Overview

This is a 3 year course and exams are conducted every semester. in the course curriculum, I studied everything about History in depth and learnt how great our country is. It made me feel more connected to my country.

Placement Experience

My college did not provide any internship program but yes, the invited company is over for placement purposes. This is completely based on the course that you select. As far as my course is concerned, I wanted to study further and did not look for jobs after completion.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My feelings was 10,290 rupees. I had to submit the fees every semester. After every 6 months, we paid Rs.100 as an examination fees and Rs. 570 as tuition fees. In the first semester, I paid Rs.200 as registration and admission fees.

Campus Life

The college celebrated important days like annual day, freshers, and farewell. Apart from that, it indulged a little bit in celebration of other events. When it came to facilities, the college and most of them.

Admission

Eligibility criteria for this college was clearance of 12th HS boards or similar recognised board. I applied on their official website after giving my board exams and waited for the merit list. As soon as my name came, I deposited the fees and the session was started.

Faculty

The teachers were nice. They helped me whenever I had any doubts in my course. They were professionals and you a lot about history. Some of the teachers also became my very good friends over the time.

GO FOR IT!!

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are several prospects, especially peer-to-peer counseling, where you get a mentor. We call it mentor mentee program. So, there will be groups of students, and each group will have a mentor who helps you whenever you face any issues whether in real life or in your academic journey. They’re always there for you. There are also remedial classes, and extracurricular activities are included in the curriculum. You even get the freedom to choose what you want to pursue creatively, like joining poetry clubs and similar groups. Right now, I’m at Banaras University, and the curriculum here is really good. We have sessions on public speaking, how to conduct interviews, and many other practical skills. These are highly commendable because they help you in professional situations like the one I’m in now. However, I would say that teachers could be a bit more active with electronic tools like using PPT presentations or audio-visual methods instead long lecture sessions. As for exams, I wouldn’t say they’re too difficult because there are many weekly assessments and sessionals, which actually help you evaluate yourself better.

The placements in our college is decent. The average salary package a student used to get from our college was around 4lakhs to 5 lakhs per annum. Mainly they used to bring non IT companies to the IT students. It was rare that IT companies used to comer in bulk.

This is the oldest Pharmacy college in India

Remarks:

The college is a good college it is situated beside the district hospital and there is morgue beside it. So students will se many dead bodies been taken. This may be problem for weak heart students. But I thing for a pharmacists he/she should be able to see dead bodies.

Remarks:

Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri is the 1st Pharmacy college in Asia. This is the only one government college in West Bengal. Labs infrastructure is very poor. 100% Placement are done. Our college is very good Pharmacy college in India.
