Course Curriculum Overview

Course duration is of 2 years with 2 semesters every year. The course designed by University is research and practical application-based. We have labs and projects on a frequent basis along with end semesters which makes the schedule a bit tight.

Placement Experience

Placement scenario is satisfactory. Many companies belonging to health, biological research, quality control, etc. do visit on an annual basis. The median package is 3 LPA. Alumni network do help a lot in getting internships with good stipend.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees for the course are very less. It is around 9780 INR for 2 years which includes your tuition, admission, lab, wifi, and all other fees(accommodation is excluded). Comparing to other colleges, this is good value for money choice.

Campus Life

Apart from studies, we are quite enthusiasts in sports and arts. Me and my boys regularly play sports. We host our cultural fest every year which is quite a good experience to come together and work as One. We also celebrate all festivals in our campus. All this things will definitely become a good part of your memory.

Admission

After B.Sc in Microbiology, I decided to go for further studies and started looking for a college. I came to know about Sikkim University from the Internet and decided to apply for it. Eligibility for applying is to score a minimum of 45% aggregate and all I had to do was apply online which was fairly simple.

Faculty

The faculty is good almost everyone having a P.Hd plus years of experience in teaching. Professors work actively in their field, writing research papers and working on projects, so you can assume that they are up to date with current development.

A very honest review of NIT SIKKIM

Placement Experience:

Placement is overall good here. Students from ece/eee are better placed than cse here. Here, companies like nvedia, apple has given the highest package. Previous year highest package is 55 lakh ,which had given to two students from eee branch. This year highest package is 35 lakh . Which is offered by two students. Now ,I am concluding all branch avg and placement percentage - Civil -70%placed Mechanical- 100% placed Eee-92% Ece-90% Cse/ai- 80% Overall -86% Average - 8.85 lpa Median-7.5 lpa Highest -35 lpa

The course curriculum is pretty outdated, they need to update it. The professors try to accomodate and teach stuff out of the syllabi as per the emerging trends. The difficulty level is average and the exams are easy to score on.

from 7th semester students eligible for sitting in placement drive. companies visited like alkem, cipla zydus, zuventus, alembic etc. highest salary is 2.5 lakh per annum and lowest in 2 lakh per annum. 85% students get placed in placement drives remaining students opt for higher studies and family business. my plans after getting degree is to get the experience the field in retail sector. and do my own business . not only I will depend on one business I will generate multiple source of income form my business strategy and communication skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B pharmacy is a professional course and if influenced me to choose this course This course prepares you for real world application starting from communication to discipline every thing is taught in this course one becomes very disciplined and dedicated to this course once they opt for it The improvement required is to give proper gaps between sessional and semister examination as it puts too much stress on student and the faculty at the ending rushes and completes the syllabus in a hurry without proper explaination and just gives ppts at the end and sometimes doesnt even complete the syllabus before semister exams . So i think this thing needs to be inproved Sessional examinations are not too hard but semister examinations are mild to hard

I do not have much idea about this field. If I'm not wrong internships begin from 2nd to 3rd year itself, and placements from 4th year. The avergae package here is around 6 LPA, and the highest package offered is 56 LPA. That'll be all from side.

The placement of our college is pretty good for the b.tech students like this year they are getting average of 7 lacs per annum but in BCA course it is 3 lakh or 4 lakh per Adam but in MCA it is 6to7 lakhs

Honest my review

I had applied at jnu but did not got selected and few others but this university was closer to my home and Sikkim is a great place to study because of the people very good. I feel safe and secure had lots of fun.
