Facilities and Infrastructure: The architecture is excellent, and the college spreads over 25 acres of land. The institute maintains an air of congeniality to encourage students’ academic activities. There are vast lecture halls and lecture theatres which are well equipped with all audio and visual aids to encourage student studies. The central library is very large consisting of a large number of journals and books. The library can facilitate 150 people in a single time. The Institute uses all modern aids like computers and internet to enhance the teaching ways. The auditorium is large enough to facilitate 750 people at a single time. The seminar hall has seat for 45, and the conference room is 42 seated. It provides hostel facilities to about 600 students. It is supplied with power and water throughout the day. The dining hall or the mess has a seat for 300 students. Other facilities in the hostel include badminton courts, internet facilities, television rooms, etc.
Faculty: The Institute has five departments which are headed by a strong headed faculty member. All the faculty members are people of great experience and have good qualifications to hold the post and impart good knowledge to their students.

I only applied to this college because it is closed to where my home is and is adaptable to my food habits. The admission process is very easy and they guide you through everything. Right now there are no eligibility entrance exams but it might be introduced by next year or so

Reservations were available for this college, The college was nearby my home town, very safe and the environment the surroundings were pretty good so it was the best university for me with my neet score.

Unveiling the Essence of My College Experience

Likes

Life is slow out there since it's a small place surrounded by Mountains so one of the best place for vacation with families & friends
Weather is really nice specially for people who can't tolerate heat and who are more familiar to cold places
People out there are friendly and cooperative compare to other places of the country

Dislikes

The food items and other items are expensive compare to other neighbouring states specially in restaurants.
Very limited things are available for everything like from basic everyday items vice-versa to other essential items

Admission:

Eligibilty is through NEETUG. But also have apply online through official site of the college. Reservation are there only for Defense Personal as there's no sports quota or anything. As you all know NEETUG so that's the only way to get in otherwise there's nothing else. The areas of improvement is directly through NEETPG only instead of again filling online form separately for the admission through their site

The main building is huge and also the library consists of many computers with wifi
The campus is very wide and good.the university consists of canteens and alot of good facilities too

Ofher thing is all right and manageable also
Some partiality between mbbs and normal students

The eligibility was 60% and above We get the application form in google smims.smu.com.the merit list is baser on the marks obtained.the exams in this course in not that hard but you need to study and ya overall its good

Likes

This university have very good environment where we cant find many green tress, flowers in the garden
This university have very good medical facilities for the student they have provided free medical check up
This university have quality and facilities like wifi ,digital library, labs, some class room are very clean

Dislikes

I don't like the some people who don't talk to other people properly and the some of the class room are not good
This university do provide wifi but can't connected individually and the hostel food is not good enough as i was told before
They should provide extra parking area for the student because we are facing difficult to park our vehicles and the incinerator

Admission:

In this university to fill up the form of admissions we can get online in the Sikkim manipal Institute of medical science website and go to tge page of admission and do admission you need to pay 500 ruppes for the form and fill up and if you stay near this university you may come and visit this university specaly to the course department to further information

I opted for this college through Sikkim state counseling, Application fees was 1500 on the day of college counseling. college conducts its own internal councelling. I got through state quota so 75% of total course fees is paid by the Government of Sikkim. Admission process is transparent.

The Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences (SMIMS), Gangtok, does not offer a B.Sc. in Radiology program. The institute provides undergraduate programs like MBBS and B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT), along with various postgraduate courses in medical sciences.

The institute offers various UG, PG and Ph.D. courses in the field of medical science. Courses such as MBBS, MD, MS and integrated M.Sc. are available in the institute.

Admission into MBBS is done through NEET UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test).
Admissions into integrated M.Sc. done on basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
Admissions to MD and MS is also done through NEET for PG.
Sikkim Manipal Institute Of Medical Sciences also offers research programs (Ph.D.) for interested candidates.
