Internships Opportunities:
Internship opportunities are vital and the hospital itself takes up interns who are interested and also pay them as such. It is a great value since you'll be doing your internship as well as be earning

- The faculty are hardworking and approachable.
- The classrooms are spacious and fully furnished
- There are many other activities other than academic
Dislikes
- We don’t have a football ground and swimming pool
- We get very few to no holidays and vacations
- The 8-5 schedule is very tiring and exhausting

Internships Opportunities:
We are supposed to do a one year internship at the central referral hospital. We get around 15 thousand per month. We also have to serve a month at the Pakyong PHC giving us the opportunity to learn how its like serving in a rural area

- The college campus is nice and serene , I love that I feel like home even though I’m far from my actual home
- The food is actually very affordable and nice
- The friends I made here are the best of friends I’ve ever met

- The schedule is too hectic even for a medico
- The hostel room is too crowded even though a large sum is being paid
- You don’t get time for your private life

Internships Opportunities:
Since we were in a medical college, the placement is said to be 100% so the college does not provide extra placements and we get to do a lot of research work and we get a lot of budget for it. Overall it's a very good experience.

- I like the infrastructure of the college
- the environment and the lecture halls are pretty nice
- the teachings the faculty is also nice and hardworking
Dislikes
- I dislike that we do not have a swimming pool in the campus
- the hostel mess food is quite on the bad side
- there should be a volleyball court too for the students
Internships Opportunities:
Internships usually last for about 6-8 months according to my knowledge and we will be posted in various departments every month according to our registration numbers. I guess the monthly stipend is about 15-16000

- Weather is really nice specially for people who can't tolerate heat and who are more familiar to cold places
- People out there are friendly and cooperative compare to other places of the country
- Life is slow out there since it's a small place surrounded by Mountains so one of the best place for vacation with families & friends
Dislikes
- The food items and other items are expensive compare to other neighbouring states specially in restaurants.
- Very limited things are available for everything like from basic everyday items vice-versa to other essential items
Internships Opportunities:
The Stipend during an internship as of now is 14.5K for outsiders & for hostellers, it's 13.5k since they deduct 1k for hostel accommodation from the intern's Stipend.

I forgot to mention about a month long Sports fest named HUSTLE organized sports committee where one get to play and win the medals for their batch and finally the winning batch will get a championships tophy ( Same as in movie Chichhore)..There are plenty of clubs you can join apart from studies.

Many alumnjs of our college are doing very well, in the country and also in some other countries. Many of them are now the teaching staffs as well. Many have become very good aurgeons as well.

Yes, we have done an internship in our own hospital. It's the best hospital in Sikkim as well as has a good name in India. Our seniors are now working as doctors, lecturers, scientists in many parts of the world along they have been working as higher professionals and doing great in their field.

MBBS graduates can choose their stream and subject accordingly. After successfully completing MD or MS course, you can apply for jobs in government and private sector hospitals. In addition, you can also start a clinic, nursing home or hospital of your own. One more option for Medicine Graduates is they can join any medical college as a teaching faculty.

Yes, SMIMS provide paid internship of 1 year for MBBS pass-outs. Internship has all the departmental postings included social preventive medicine. Internship salary 10,000 rupees per month till now, may be increased in near future.
