Remarks

Sikkim University is best in what they do i.e educating the students. The university has best of everything from facilities to placements. It was my best decision to take admission in the Sikkim University.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum has 6 semester and they follow the credit based system. The curriculum is well balanced between practical and theory.The exams are also conducted for both.There will be assignments and projects that are assigned to the students which are included in the final assessment .The university does not load you with unnecessary exams.

Placement Experience

The university offers great placements from companies like Axis bank, Cipla Limited, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd,Torrent Pharmaceuticals etc. The salary ranges from Rs 1 lakh to 3 lakh which is decent for a starting job.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees can be afforded by everyone as the fees is feasible.It is not too expensive compared to other university who offer the same course but with higher fees.The fees structure is made accordingly.

Campus Life

The university organizes various extracurricular activities like debate competition,sports competition and all the students are motivated and encouraged to participate in it. Nobody is discriminated from participating these events.

Admission

Sikkim university includes all the affiliated colleges in the state of Sikkim. The university conducts the entrance exam for all UG and PG courses known as Central Admission Test (CAT) and tho qualify that test you have to score atleast 50% in the entrance examination.The university will then prepare a merit list based on your performance .The students will then be granted admission after the students qualify merit list.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum will give you a comprehensive understanding of Contemporary IR theories, India's Foreign Policy, polilical theory, Hydrodiplmacy, Poltical Economy, Research Methodology and so on. You will also have to do your dissertation in the last semster that is the 4th semster and defend it to get your Masters Degree.

Yeah replacement system I am not family or with this placement in all because had just recently join not just recently it's been like one and half year but also in placement system I am not focusing on that side because you know what I don't rely on this college I just need degree from this college and just want to be independent and search for job business on my own this collage is just waste of time still I am saying this tho I cannot do anything about this because I am already in second year so if I leave this college now I have no other option to do better option to do so I am I am stock in this college you can say and replacement system everything is just fine not so much good not

Placement Experience:

I do not have much idea about this field. If I'm not wrong internships begin from 2nd to 3rd year itself, and placements from 4th year. The avergae package here is around 6 LPA, and the highest package offered is 56 LPA. That'll be all from side.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If i have to talk about the curriculum then, overall its good. It covers all the aspect starting from very basics to the most advanced ones for both theory and practical. This course including the teachers prepares us (students) very well to face the real world applications or further academic pursuits. They emphasise more on practical based teaching then theory. If i have to give an example then its 3:7 ratio for a topic. Where 3 theory sessions and 7 practical sessions.

Because of my father's Business & I want to do job in pharma company. 60% Boys & 40% girls. Teaching with good way & qualifications are also good. In one semester(6 months) there are two internal Exam & one semester exam & 50% number is needed in each & every subject to pass.

Modern and friendly college

Remarks:

I love my college, though I hate the place majhitar because of its hot weather. Obviously there are a lot of areas where the college can improve, but the faculties are great. The college doesn't always provide you various extra curricular activities, and to organise anything is a headache. But it is a fun college.

I chose this college because it was feasible and close to my state (Assam). It was the only central university close to my state which provided psychology honors. I had applied at jnu but did not got selected and few others but this university was closer to my home and Sikkim is a great place to study because of the people very good. I feel safe and secure had lots of fun.
