Remarks
Amity is the heaven on Earth with respect to all the facilities it provided. It is not a university but a city inside a state. Providing every relaxing environment with AC classrooms, canteens, blocks, various relaxing ones and festivals, with the best education, Amity is an all-rounder university.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is 5 years long and is divided into 10 semesters. Each semester has 6-7 subjects as core and electives and the other 3 subjects are of 1 credit each. The compulsory subjects were English Communication skills, BS and One foreign language. The subjects were divided into credits and min credits were 1 and maximum as 4. Each semester had internals and externals conducted with proper presentations. We were supposed to submit "NTCC" reports as our research paper, every year. The curriculum was a little hectic but at the end we were all trained to address the audience and give presentations.
Placement Experience
Amity provides vast placement opportunities after the fourth year, at the beginning of the fifth year and the end. The internships were given through teacher's recommendations and we were exposed to big organisations with our projects. Various known firms came to interview us, 80%of the batch was placed. The placement was on the basis of academic as well as interview performances. Amity enabled all the known organisations to interview us and gave us the huge opportunities.
College Events
All kinds of events were celebrated at Amity. The amity youth fest was the most important and highly recognized fest, where well known celebrities used to come and perform. The prior events like amity pulse were also hosted. The whole 4 day annual festival was celebrated around the campus. Apart from this we used to have "Sangathan" a sports day event which was celebrated for 3 months straight, different departments used to participate and compete against each other. The final event used to happen on 27th October which was the birthday of our founder "Mr. Ashok Chauhan" and the ceremony was a day long. Various promotional events were hosted and celebrities used to come and promote. The Military Training Camp used to oraganise as a part of our semester where we led the life of a soldier. All kind of festivals were celebrated and we used to maintain secularism.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees was submitted semester wise. The first semester included the security deposit as INR 20,000. and then the fees was normal. The first year total fees was INR 1.49 lakhs and the total around around INR 6 lakhs. The fees was high but when compared to the facilities and exposure it provided, it was justified.
Campus Life
Amity had so many facilities and extracurricular. The labs were fully equipped with all the facilities. Our library was huge and had all the latest technology within. It was air conditioned and had computers to work on, glass indoors and sofa sets to relax and read. The library was itself heaven. The campus had a gym where all the latest technology was available including lockers rooms and showers. The Arcadia was an all time favorite for all The students, it had various games like table tennis, bowling, PS/XBOX games,chill ones to eat and relax. The campus had a whole H block for the branded food products along with the restaurant too "Wall street". The games like shooting, swimming, tennis, cricket, football, badminton, golf etc all had separate courts and grounds. Big auditorium halls and canteens were given separately to each block.
Hostel Facilities
The whole H Block was our hostel block. The hostels were beautifully constructed with AC rooms and proper food facilities. The campus was itself a city. Not only the mess canteen food but we used to have other food brands inside like Cafe Coffee Day, Subway, Dominos etc. Infrastructures were up to date with the best washroom facilities. The rooms were cleaned and well maintained. Overall the hostel life was beyond any normal hostel in a college, it was more of a room in a city. The hostel were secured and safe.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni meets used to happen once a year and our seniors used to address us and give lectures on their experiences. They were always friendly and humble and helped us along our NTCC projects in the final too. We had a good rapport with the ex-seniors and their guidance helped along the journey.
Admission
The admission in Amity university is easy and the application forms are available online through their official website. Those who have completed 10+2 with 60% and above are eligible. After filling up the details and submitting the required documents, i got the mail and was given called for the interview and the basic tests. The tests taken were of mental ability and English. After passing the exams the personal interview is taken. The counselling is held and then we get the admission confirmation mail. After the mail we are supposed to submit the first year fees for the confirmation. The first 3 days of the college are mainly orientation and we are addressed to the Amity world.
Faculty
The faculty at Amity was noble and all were scholars. They had a reputed status and were all very gentle and helpful. The teachers used to take us on various excursions and improvised us on NTCC projects. They were strict wrt the attendance and kept a regular record for all the academic performances of the student.
