Course Curriculum Overview

Course Curriculum is quite sorted and the students are given ample time before exams of anything. There are many activities like guest lectures or workshops which help students to learn things faster.

Job opportunities at our college are extremely good, the students who want to pursue their career in corporate , it is a golden opportunity for them as a lot of top companies participate in the selection process.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure of the college falls on an affordable side as I have my cousin who is doing this same course at a much higher cost. With this college the cost of fees doesn't burden anyone and everyone is able to focus on studies effectively.

Campus Life

College has various committees and societies which students can join as per their interest. And for some societies there are interviews while for the others students can join them without any boundaries on the first come first serve basis.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are pretty good but the mess food is average, we have different food in different days, some of the food items are extremely delicious while some are extremely bad. The warden of the hostel is very nice.

Admission

The admission process of the college begins in the month of May and the student has to fill an admission form along with the score card of 12th. If a person details match with the set criteria then the admission letter is released.

Faculty

The faculty of the college is very educated and hold a professional degree in their respective fields which is a proof that they have an in-dept knowledge of the subject they are teaching us. Overall also, they are calm and helpful.

GO FOR IT!!

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are several prospects, especially peer-to-peer counseling, where you get a mentor. We call it mentor mentee program. So, there will be groups of students, and each group will have a mentor who helps you whenever you face any issues whether in real life or in your academic journey. They’re always there for you. There are also remedial classes, and extracurricular activities are included in the curriculum. You even get the freedom to choose what you want to pursue creatively, like joining poetry clubs and similar groups. Right now, I’m at Banaras University, and the curriculum here is really good. We have sessions on public speaking, how to conduct interviews, and many other practical skills. These are highly commendable because they help you in professional situations like the one I’m in now. However, I would say that teachers could be a bit more active with electronic tools like using PPT presentations or audio-visual methods instead long lecture sessions. As for exams, I wouldn’t say they’re too difficult because there are many weekly assessments and sessionals, which actually help you evaluate yourself better.

The placements in our college is decent. The average salary package a student used to get from our college was around 4lakhs to 5 lakhs per annum. Mainly they used to bring non IT companies to the IT students. It was rare that IT companies used to comer in bulk.

This is the oldest Pharmacy college in India

Remarks:

The college is a good college it is situated beside the district hospital and there is morgue beside it. So students will se many dead bodies been taken. This may be problem for weak heart students. But I thing for a pharmacists he/she should be able to see dead bodies.

Remarks:

Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri is the 1st Pharmacy college in Asia. This is the only one government college in West Bengal. Labs infrastructure is very poor. 100% Placement are done. Our college is very good Pharmacy college in India.
