Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is somehow relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready. I like this course, and I heard good things about it. There are a lot of good things about this course.Compulsory English and Bengali/Hindi/Urdu

Placement Experience

Almost 25% of the students got placed. The highest - salary offered was Rs. 48,000 per month. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 20,000 per month. The average salary offered was Rs. 27,000 per month. Job shop, Lavya Associate, etc., were the top recruiting companies.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is moderate. There are scholarship available for the students who needs it. There are many students who got scholarship. There are nominal fees to be paid for the industrial visits and parking charges.

Campus Life

The college has the resources to maintain the facilities, and It has a high graduation rate. Facilities for students are less. The college provides good financial aid, internship and research internship, travel facilities for students. There are club and activities according to your interest. The food is good. Health facilities are also provided here.

Hostel Facilities

The college has its own Students? Hostel for S.C./S.T. students only with a capacity of 20 seats. S.C./S.T. Students seeking admission in the hostel are required to contact with the Hostel Superintendent as appointed by the college authority from amongst the teachers of the college.

Admission

Only those students who have passed the H.S. Examination of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent Degree as recognised by the University of North Bengal are eligible for admission in degree course. Admission to all Honours Course will be based strictly on merit.

Placement Experience:

I'm not sure but I think from 3rd year we will be eligible for placements. There are many finance companies, banks like HDFC, SBI, Canara,etc... & companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Deloitte, PWC,etc.... The highest package last year was like 9.64 LPA & in the year before it was 10 LPA while the average is around 2-2.5 LPA. Around 20% of the total strength gets placement. Even only few % of the total strength applies for the placements. My plan is to take a placement if I can or if not then off campusing and then gather work experience & do MBA later which will give me very benifits.

From Third semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies like P360, EY, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Neutanix, BinaryWorks and few more visited our college for placements and mostly 15 to 20 offers were made Highest package was around 5 to 6 lpa 50% students were placed I am now preparing for govt jobs and side by side also applying for offcampuses. I have also given CUET for pursuing M. Tech

The hustles and joys of a college life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had chosen this course because of the Media and the lab facility, and my desire to understand the entire course in journalism and mass communication. The course that I took gave a bit more theoretical aspects rather than the practical ones. The practical ones were a bit less compared to theory ones. The areas I would suggest for improvement would be to encourage more assignments and provide more internship facilities to the students. The frequency of the exams for me was okay, and it was moderate, not difficult.

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

Highest packages last year was 47 LPA (off Campus) 27LPA ( on campus). Average pakage was 5-6Lpa. The job role is Software Development. Percentage of Students Got placement is 92-95% In my Deoartment. Other is Around 70_90%. My plans to take placement from product based company.

I love computer science so I chose this department. The teaching in this department is very good and the labs are also very good. We have many exams in our semester.It would have been better if we had studied our theory paper a little better.
