Remarks
In our college , raiganj University, was like my second home , the professor was fully cooperative, helping and they guide us on every part except studies also, for our life. The department lab staff was very helpful for us , while conducting experiment , the college office was very helpful , they solve all problems very quickly. I gained alot of knowledge and guidance from the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum was for botany knowledge and new research area driven , many experiment was their ,dna isolation , protein purification , chlorophyll experiment, blast , plant tissue culture , micro-organisms incubation , culture , dilution , mushroom culture , plant propagation , layering , grafting , in my college , their was no campus placement, as it was government college , under state , we went to nursery and mushroom industry , botanical garden , local excursions .while doing experiment and dissertation work , it teach us how to perform any experiment with calmness and knowledge .
Placement Experience
No , in our college no companies comes for placement , as it was in the small town , they are no many industrial companies for life sciences, I not done any intership , as their was no rule for doing intership in college , the 75% attendance was must for exams.
College Events
In my college they celebrate Saraswat puja , Vishwakarma Puja very grand , they also conduct cultural events like teacher's day , fresher day , sports day , annual day, farewell , exhibition , college fest , seminars , quizs , debate, all students of college take part in these events on their interest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As my college was under west Bengal state government , the fee structure was feasible,cheap, in college we have to pay by online mode and the receipt have to submit in office, my program masters in botany fee was around 8000 and exam fee , registration certificate fee was 1000 , yes the fee structure was break down in part , their was full transparency in that

No I not availed any scholarships in college , their are many schemes like kanayashree for girls , obc scheme , minority scheme , and many more
Campus Life
Campus Life was great , cheerful, in life sciences department the female ratio was high compared to male ratio , and in pure science section male ratio was high compared to female , in arts and commerce , the ratio was slightly equal.In labs some reagents was not their , as the college recently become University, in college their was seminars , exhibition , competition and many more .
Hostel Facilities
No , I was in pg near to college , but I went to college hostel to meet my class friends , in hostel they have to share rooms , one room by four person , the hostel food timing was limited , and their were many restrictions, in pg the average rent was 3000 for one room for one person , the facilities was good like home , and for food we have to pay 2000 per month
Alumni/Alumna
In my college , raiganj University , we were the first batch which started after becoming University , and the alumini of our college was helpful for us all the time
Admission
In bsc , I choose this college , as it was near to my home , and this college counselling occur earlier to other colleges, I got selected by merit list in this college earlier , then I not went to other colleges , I prefer to stay near my home . In masters degree , our college results published very late , so I was left with few college option , again I choosen this college , in master I was selected on the basis of merit list , as I was that college passout , and for students those come from other universities they have to give entrance exam .
Faculty
In our college , they were 4 assistant professor and 4 were part time lecturer , all professor was around 30-40 age , 3 of them done phd and published many research paper , one of the professor was currently doing phd , one of the professor our hod done post doctoral from Hamburg , usa , and all are teaching from 2-5 years in the college , all are very well qualified and they teach very nicely to us .
