Remarks

College is one among absolutely the best in india. Great ambience and infrastructure.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is relevant. Internals is divided into 3 components called CIA'S. CIA 1&3 will be research based or even class tests which comprises of 20 marks each. CIA 2 is mid semester which will cover all the portions covered till mid semester. Adding on, you have to pass separately for internals and the final exam. We have other extra curricular activities between this as well. This means that the college is very much engaging and makes sure that students do some or the other thing throughout the academic year. It helps is building orginisational capacities and multi tasking. Final years have legal aid camps and others have an opportunity to be the part of the legal aid committees. Several other IV's happens during the course. Some of them I remember are The milk federation Karnataka, civil and high courts of Karnataka, legal aid camp at rural areas of kolar distrcit. Etc.

Placement Experience

4

Placements completely depends on one's academics. The college provides a lot of campus placement drives for which they have cut off marks. Only those who clears the cut off are eligible for such placements. Some of the companies include bosch, mind tree, KPMG, Amazon Oracle, Accenture etc. Thus, it's considered as a competition among students for placements.

College Events

5

A number of events happen in one academic year. Starting from darpan which is the annual talent search program which concentrates to find those who are talented in cultural activities. There are solo and group events where you can form up teams from all departments which helps the students to socialize and makes them more confident to step up. There are dept cultural activities as well apart from darpan, which is a pan University program. There are separate teams to represent University level and dept level and students can represent both at department level and at University level in and outside college events. Students are free to join and form there own teams. Participation is a criteria is some of these fests when it comes to judging. Various events like trail advocacy, Mun's, ADR, moot courts etc happen which helps in academic progression. These competitions have internal rounds so that the best team can represent the university or department. And these internal rounds are conducted by a student committee along with couple of faculty for the smooth run of the event. Exclusive cultural events are also there which happens at intra dept levels which turns on the heat.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Mode of payment is card through the account created while admission is taken. There are several fee deduction schemes which can be known from the admission department. 1.2Lakh per year was my average program fee which will be different for NRI, international students and residents from Karnataka state. This payment is a one time payment and fines are imposed on students who do not have minimum prescribed attendace. The course fee slip shall be given to you once you are selected for a particular course

Fees and Financial Aid

No. Got admission through entrance and interview. Scholarship opportunities are also available for students with excellent 12th marks. Scholarship depends upon your mark solely and the same can be applied during the admission.

Campus Life

5

Campus infrastructure is so huge and we've a lot of space to explore. The library is so vast, that we can get all the books under the sky. If you're ready to socialize you can make a lot of friends from different parts of the country and around the world. Gender ratio is pretty much the same. Girls might overtake the ratio by relatively small margin. As I said earlier, a lot of events happen in and around the campus to keep the students engaging all the time. There are exclusive dance extravaganza competition which is an inter deanery dance competition, in which teams should hold a capacity of 25 people and no upper limit. I remember a team dancing with 300+ capacity. The dance extravaganza days were really enjoyable and memorable days. This event happens along with our very own college fest in blooms, which is a national level cultural fest where students from various parts of the country is excited to attend. We've sports event in university level, intra and inter deanery levels as well. have won a lot of competitions. Since, the college is in the middle of the city everything is easily accessible and students have much more free thoughts. Thus, most of the students have more liberal thoughts. There's no discrimination based on any ethnicity, sex, race or religion and in fact all students are aware of the current scenario where one should not be discriminated or deprived of their rights based in such factors.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

No. Rooms are big. There are single rooms and sharing upto 4. Rooms are limited and they have strict adherence to their policies. Biometric scanners are available to ensure their presence everyday. Night outs can be taken with permission and for the same a acknowledgement from the guardians is a must. This should be informed to the warden at least a week before.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni is not that strong in college. Once in a year, alumni committe hosts an event inside college so they can revisit their college again and have those good old days back. Otherwise also, alumnis can enter college after filling the alumni register anytime before 5pm in the evening excluding Sunday's.

Admission

My dad is a lawyer and sister also graduated from the same college for the same course. So I got to know all the events that happens inside the college which attracted me as I'm a lively person. Adding to that the exposure and the value this particular college has is amazing. Apart from these a lot of we can experience multi culturalism as students around every corner come for admissions. For admission we will be having an entrance test and interview. Marks are secondary. Admission is based on how well you perform for intrview and exam.

Faculty

4

Weekly we've 30 hours comprising of 6 subjects, including seminars, academic events, guest lectures and others work related to the subject. The college is working 5 days a week and Saturday is half day. Anyone who cleared net exam or at least a post graduation can apply to work as a faculty. PhD students also get to teach 1&2 years so that they gain teaching experience. There are a lot of PhD holders in thier respective subjects and the amount of knowledge they share is immense. They help in moulding the students in their research quality and academic skills to achieve their goals

It is better to start internship in 2nd or 3rd year for proper legal understanding before a student graduates from the college. The college will provide practical knowledge but it does not encounter proper real life situatons.
