Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Courses are well defined and perfectly organised since we are affliated by Karnataka State Law University, patter is precise and relevant. I am hoping to get into the Corporate field of law, so Bcom LLB, covered both commerce and law. Curriculum includes compulsory internships every semester break, we have clinical cources and viva in the 4th and 5th year, placement training, etc which have real world application intended. Law is a vast subject with various codes, thus gets boring for audio lectures, involvement of visvual screening once in while would be refreshing.

Placement Experience

2.5

from 10th Semester, students are eligible for placements generally law firms looking for junior associates, banks are invited. im unaware but average is 3LPA Genrally 50% placed but to be fair, not all students apply for placements through college as studenst want to further pursue masters i plan on a corpate job in a company for positions such as Legal advisor, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Bcom LLB is a 5 year integrated course. So for my batch ( 2021), my fees for first 2 years was 60000 each year and for the next three years is 80000 each year. Tuition fees, etc is included in above. Additional charges every semester includes payment of examination fees which does not exceed 2000 rupees. Fees remains same for all, Scholarships exist where you can get upto 30000 rupees concession depending upon your financial position (10000 rupees), sports excellence (10000 rupees) and academics excellence (10000 rupees).

Campus Life

4

We have tooo many events almost every two weeks- debate, Model United Nations, law related events- client counseling, turn coat, and it goes on. There are 3 libraries, 1 specifically for law, which is timely updated, has computer sysytems, accessibility towifi, charging points incase you want to bring your own laptops, reference areas, you are borrow books from libarary, there are textbooks, biographies, journals, articles, newsletter, etc. there are projectors in the classrooms, faculties are encouraged to use ppts and video clips to engage classes every year there is a sports day with various events, students are encouraged to practise everyday basketball in the court inside campus, there is a gym accessible to students there is student union with president, secretarys for various clubs- to name few: debate, Model united nations, sports, yoga, Moot court, NSS, etc

Admission

I applied in St. Josephs College of law, Ramaiah School of law and got into both. Kristu was preferbale becuase it was closer to home, its reputed with strict educational policies, fancy infrastructure, the crowd is reputable. the admision process included online appilcation with a small application fee which increases every year, then an online interview, confirmation of admission and then payment of fees. eligibility is 12th pass, CLAT was not compulsory neither an admission test was conducted. Cutoff was 70% but in reality they dont care for the percentage, its on the analysis of the interviewer in the online interview

Faculty

4

Faculties are highly qualified with master's and PHD. They are extremely sweet, well mannered and very approachable, always keen to help students and resolve their queries. Best faculties may include Professors working for the longest- Prof. Debhargya, Prof- Bhavya, Prof. Mahesh None disliked, all faculties carry strong morale and respect to their profession. There is only one mid term examination for 20-30 marks which is also considered for internal assessments. its not very difficult, almost everyone clears midterms. Then we have the finals that is the end semester exams where papers are set from the KSLU Board, so they are difficult but passing falling ratio is 70:30 overall

Other Applied Colleges

Josephs college of law | Bcom LLB

In 2021, while I was applying for admissions, St. Josephs College of Law was newly established, thus in comparison to already established institutions which were equipped with high-end infrastructure, highly qualified professors, more external exposure in

It is better to start internship in 2nd or 3rd year for proper legal understanding before a student graduates from the college. The college will provide practical knowledge but it does not encounter proper real life situatons.

The worst they are very unfair the faculties leak the question papers for money and take money from students under the table for clearing their backlogs nd for year back. Most faculties are worthless they don't kn how to teach or explain they discriminate on the basis of ethnicity.
