Remarks
Very strict - good for the parents and not too good for the students.
Course Curriculum Overview
It was great. There was no campus interviews at that time. But, faculties were aware of the importance of a job and tried their level best to uplift the students to make them compitetive. They had a system to inform the parents of the problematic students which helped a lot to stop them without going to a bad track.
Placement Experience
No internships at that time. But, now they have started to conduct internships on different categories.
College Events
College day celebrations, Onam festivals, Christmas celebrations etc were stunning. I had witnessed the inter collegiate compitetions twice in our college which was a great experience. The sports events were also worth mentioning. I have the sweet nostalgic memories of such moments which never fades.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure was agreeable. Rev Fr Gabriel was the captain of the group of colleges coming under this congregation. He was kind enough to provide free canteen facilities to the poor along with the fees concessions given by the government under KER rules.
Fees and Financial Aid
No. I did not have the necessity of an education loan. And I was not in the front raw of the best students for getting a scholarship based on excellence.
Campus Life
My college had no girls at that time. It was a gents only institution. But, now they have started admission to the girls also for the past previous years. Prof Chandran was one among the Sastra Sahitya Parishat, a body focused on the overall enhancement of the different aspects in science, art, literature etc in an aesthetic manner to the public and other interested students. Prof George S Paul was an all-rounder who geared up the sports man spirit along with his favourite music.
Hostel Facilities
No. Be I belong to the same district in which the college situates. Even though, my residence was 20 kilometres away from the college I had an opportunity to stay in one of my uncle's residence near by the college.
Alumni/Alumna
Almost all faculty members especially Chandran sir and George S Paul sir were generous enough to give appropriate advices from time to time. But, unfortunately, due to the absence of the telecommunications, there was no way to continue friendship with the classmates.
Admission
Since this college is run by the priests, quality of education is, still, good. Admission was based on marks and subsequent interviews. To get a seat in this college was very difficult and, so also, those who study in this college had a better status in the society.
Faculty
Almost all of the faculties were great. Especially, Dr Chandy, Prof George S Paul, Prof Chandran were best. Prof George S Paul sir was an exceptionally good teacher who used to blend teaching and learning with a comedy sense so that the students were able to grasp even the dry subjects well. Prof Sachidanandan, English teacher, was also great.
