Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose this course not because of curriculum. The syllabus is very bad and it doesn't really help to apply in real-world situations.I suggest that the practical exposure must be needed and give chances for students to apply in internships. The timing of exam actually stressed alot in even semesters due to shortage in classes. The faculty rushes to take class and also gives a load of work when the exam is near.

Fees and Financial Aid

I first applied in the management quota with 85,000 fees but got merit under OBC with the fees 31,000 as admission fees and paid 24,000 for both 1st and 2nd year. There is exam fees which is approximate 775rs for every semester including lab exam.Caution fees is 500rs.For students who applied under management have to pay 60,000rs per year.Students who scored above 9.0 CGPA in odd semesters will get pragathi samman scholarship with amount of 2000rs.

Campus Life

4

There are many functions held in colleges, some of the main functions are Arts festival,College day,Union and Freshers day, etc. These functions held from november onwards and ends in march. Library has a huge varieties of book needed for research purpose and also for studying. They also novels, poems, short stories in english, hindi, malayalam, etc. Faculties use technological provisions within classroom and it is good for seeing ppt. This college encourages students in sports and extracurricular activities. There are football,Coco,Hockey,Weight lifting,Basketball,Volleyball, etc. Many students won in competitions also. The college has won trophy in Dzone. There are mainly 4 social groups for students-NSS,NCC,CSA and Thavanish.

Admission

I applied to Asmabi college and got seat in there but my parents already booked management seat in this college. And also my parents didn't like asmabi college so,they told me to study in this college. No,I didn't get rejection from any college.I didn't make it there because this college was more good than that college. There are two ways which a student can get admission here.Management and Merit. For merit eligibility was 90% above and there were no exams for my course. The admission experience was good for me.

Faculty

3

Most of the faculty is good to the students. We can approach them with no fear but it may vary sometimes.I like all the faculties who teaches me.They take care of us and worries about us as their children. There are 6 subjects in 1st,2nd,3rd,4th,5th and 6th semesters(including lab). For me every subjects is easy but language(Hindi) and psychology was a bit hard in 2nd semester .Actually the calicut university syllabus is not really good.We study things we don't need in our future.

Night Life

1

There is actually no night life in college. We can only stay in college if there is any programme is happening in night. There is garden with open gym for students to chill out after class. The hostel timing is 6pm and the college timing is 9 am in morning and 6pm closing. There are many hangout spots near college as cafes anf hotels

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed this degree for me to pursue higher studies in uk or foreign country to study cosmetics related field. So for that bsc chemistry degree must have But this curriculum doesn't teach something base to that I think so.. For further studies the teachers need improvement to teach certain topics some teachers didn't even prepare to study students and lab safety is not in the lab.Because of the teaching the portions are done in last minutes and often exams are difficult in major subjects so they need to improve their study methods and often approach students nicely..

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

I feel in love with mathematics in plus two time. The coursee are more application based when compared to other. Out college being an autonomous college has good grip to keep up to the level of good education. Overall teaching methods and syllabus are very good. Frequency of exams are troublesome during the last time of year because all the programmes like youth festival annual day etc come together

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.

I chose Bsc electronics, it has an attractive curriculum and some of them are influenced me in some way. The facilities are well-known about the curriculum preparing and all. The current curriculum is good but it needs some changes. Include more practicals is one of my suggestion. Teaching methods are good it doesn't need any change. Exams are conducted by Kerala University, so the college can't do anything in main exams but the college will complete all the portions before the exam date it is sure.
