Remarks
Memorable golden days of fun learning with good friends.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure was as per Delhi university curriculum, teachers were good and punctual, examinations were fair and held as per announced schedule. Research is not one of the strengths of kirori mal college till date and non-existent n our times. In all Delhi university affiliated colleges research is not a big strength.
Placement Experience
Never needed to apply as I was clear that I will pursue higher studies at other institutions like AIIMS or outside India.
College Events
Annual function, Foundation Day, Sports day, Teacher's day, Republic day, Independence Day, several competitions and convocation. Functions of several student bodies and all functions announced by the Delhi University and Government of Delhi and Government of India.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Very reasonable. In our days the fee structure was just Rs 15 every month. No extra fees were charged for building fund, library access fee, lab related fee and donations for admissions in any particular course or programme of one's choice. The student had to pay just the pre-announced fee with no escalation what-so-ever
Fees and Financial Aid
No, as I was an NSTS scholar getting my scholarship from NCERT, Government of India. College only offered the scholarships offered by the university.
Campus Life
Campus life was good, Gender ration was near half and half, diversity was also good with students from all over India. Competitions were healthy and good. There were no student clashes and KM college won several trophies in sports and science competitions.
Hostel Facilities
No. I lived in Delhi with my parents and had no need to either opt for a hostel or seek rental accommodation. PG was done at AIIMS Delhi and the hotels there were very good. The mess was also very good with a lot of flexibility for students
Alumni/Alumna
non-existent even though the college has some very famous people who have studied at this college, e.g Amitabh Bacchan studied at this college.
Admission
The process was easy --filling a form and admission in the first list. Once the list was put the office staff was very helpful in guiding us through the process. Classes were held in properly aerated classes and the right size for the number of students registered for the course. Some students in commerce and arts stream were quite rowdy
Faculty
Very competent, sincere and well-meaning. Some of them had experience from universities outside India. Faculty was young and took pains to make learning fun. Practical sessions were designed well and conducted with diligence taking care that each student could participate properly
