Remarks

No as such. Nothing can be perfect in this world.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The sessions are now semester basis, so students will have exams end of every semester. This is a practical based course, theories are equally important. if someone follows the course structure properly, that will help to make a strong base to the student, which will be beneficial in long run, to become a professional.

Placement Experience

5

This is an Art college, so there is no placement as such. But there are demands in companies for BVA or BFA pass out students. because they have the proper skills to draw and paint. Students learn the aesthetics of art, how to create art and how to apply art for commercial purpose. The more one explores the more he/she can get the best out of it.

College Events

5

If you are into an art college, your whole life will be eventful. There are events like freshers, Annual exhibitions, inter college sports, yearly events like Aban Mela, Rabindra Jayanti celebration, Holi celebrations etc. There are many more. Life is a celebration here being in a part of any art college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is always feasible, but the material costs are high, depends on the stream you have opted for. The more you will practice the more you will use materials, but you have to practice more and more, otherwise, there is no use of this course. There is no shortcut.

Fees and Financial Aid

The main expenses are for art materials. There is no limit on practising and buying art materials. different specializations are there. In the first year, one will be introduced with different streams. Even after taking one of them as specialization, it's free to work on other streams.

Campus Life

5

This is not a usual or general college or course. This course brings out the creative urge from you. So everything is different here. All the time is celebrated here, otherwise, it's difficult to be an artist. This course change lives, changes ways of thinking.

Hostel Facilities

5

No, I have not opted for hostels. There are a lot of places to stay in Kolkata. Don't think they have a girls' hostel. but the boy's hostel is good as I heard from friends. Not a luxurious one. College fees are given here is an approximate guess. You have to contact the college to know the exact amount. But it will not be so much.

Alumni/Alumna

All are family here. It depends on an individual, how they want to connect. Seniors are always helpful.

Admission

I wanted to study at an art college in Kolkata. This is a home University, the course structure has a strong value in practical and theoretical aspects. There are several examinations are there to get admission in this course. Practical skills should be high, practice makes everyone perfect. There will be three stages of exams. there is elimination in every stage. Finally, the merit list comes out for final admission.

Faculty

5

Faculties/ teachers are to be respected and obeyed, not assessed by the students. The skills they have will change one's life. So All the students have to keep faith in the faculties and learn as much as possible from him/her. There is no limit to learning and application. Lots of reference books, exhibitions, connecting with other artists and faculties from other art colleges will help more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are several prospects, especially peer-to-peer counseling, where you get a mentor. We call it mentor mentee program. So, there will be groups of students, and each group will have a mentor who helps you whenever you face any issues whether in real life or in your academic journey. They’re always there for you. There are also remedial classes, and extracurricular activities are included in the curriculum. You even get the freedom to choose what you want to pursue creatively, like joining poetry clubs and similar groups. Right now, I’m at Banaras University, and the curriculum here is really good. We have sessions on public speaking, how to conduct interviews, and many other practical skills. These are highly commendable because they help you in professional situations like the one I’m in now. However, I would say that teachers could be a bit more active with electronic tools like using PPT presentations or audio-visual methods instead long lecture sessions. As for exams, I wouldn’t say they’re too difficult because there are many weekly assessments and sessionals, which actually help you evaluate yourself better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I used to read so many novels from my childhood and that inspired me in getting attracted to this field. We used to have the fecility of having seminar in the end of every month after compleating of each lessons. And this process helped us in true education. After every year professors from differnt parts of the country used to come for a seminer for overall groth of the students. Actually is theory teaching style is followed in the college, according to me some developments in the practical teaching can be used. Semister is held at the end of every six months and the exams are used to be moderate in nature.
