MBA course offered by IIEST

There is a lot of free land available inside the campus which the authorities need to utilize and take care of. These areas can be used to construct more hostels and other facilities for students.

Industrial visits are organised every year in the winter break for the students to give them corporate exposure. The course curriculum is at par with the industry and its requirements. Students are trained to keep in mind what the company professionals look for in a candidate.

Placements are moderate. Companies like TCS, Godrej, Kotak Mahindra, SBI, IDBI bank do come for placements. These are just a few. The college arranges for industrial tours every year for the students for them to get corporate exposure. Apart from that students have been selected for internships at IIMs and other reputed organisations in the past. Almost 80 percent of the batch is placed every year. The students are provided training sessions to prepare them for the campus placements.

IIEST conducts various departmental fests for every department of their own. Also, there is INSTRUO the annual technical fest of the college. We have a huge number of reputed sponsors for these events. REBECA is the cultural fest and goes on for 4 long days is one of the largest cultural fests in West Bengal. In addition to these, the college conducts entrepreneurship summits every year to encourage students who are into business and want to develop their own startups.

The total fees for the course are Rs 4,04,000 for 2 years excluding hostel fees. No extra amount was demanded admission. Full transparency was provided with fees breakdown and fee structure. Submission of fees is also quite a hassle free task for the students.

The college did offer scholarship opportunities but I did not avail it. The average sum of scholarship was 18000 INR per semester.

The gender ratio is more or less equal with respect to female and male students. There are no limitations on basis of gender, race, religion etc. Campus life is to fall in love with. The amazing atmosphere and lush greenery of the campus let the students take a breath of fresh air when they roam around and provides an appropriate environment to study. Apart from that, there are the gym, swimming, and sports facilities inside the campus. Regular competitions do take place and there is a lot of attention paid to extracurricular activities.

Yes. Hostel rooms are clean and furnished well. There are allotments for two or three people in a single room depending on the availability. Any issue is taken care of by the caretaker. Food quality is good. There is a lot of variety on a daily basis. Washrooms are clean. Washing machines are provided for the students.

IIEST has a very strong alumni network. The seniors and alumni are extremely helpful and very active in helping the current students regarding their job and internships. They are always eager to assist them and give them their valuable guidance for them to have a better future.

With the qualifying score of CMAT examination, I was granted admission to this Institute after the shortlisting of candidates and the good and PI rounds. I've always wanted to go for an MBA considering my communication and marketing skills I have always believed to excel here. The admission process was held in the middle of June. The main factors for choosing this college was it's reputation as an Institute of National Importance declared by the Govt of India and MHRD and the first and only IIEST in the country which is at par with the IITs and NITs in the country. I feel fortunate to be associated with an Institute of such grandeur.

There are a total of 4 professors in our department. All of them hold a Doctorate degree and industry experience. We have guest faculties coming from different industries to deliver lectures on different topics. Regular seminars and interactive sessions are arranged.
