Rigid for some rules but I think that maintaining discipline is required.
Course Curriculum Overview
6 semesters with mid and end term exams. Case based mostly. Made me understand the real world practices in a better manner. The pedagogy followed by the faculty is very much real case oriented and help to apply the theoretical concepts to the real problems. sessions are very interactive and there is a component of marks fro class participation as well.
Placement Experience
Top quartile placement is really good. but it declines further. general steps are common, i.e. good and personal interview. although placements heavily depend on the industry demands which may vary from batch to batch. but among new IIMs, I can say that they are pretty good.
College Events
Many events are regularly celebrated, there are many clubs and committees which do all these events. two main events are NISHTHA and DHRUVA which are the annual management conclave in which many industry leaders come and address the students. and many competitions are held.
Fee Structure And Facilities
as compared among IIMs, fees can be said reasonable. fees are 15.5 lacs which we need to pay in 6 instalments term wise. you can pay by any mode and can choose to avail the loan. bankers would contact themselves and they are very lenient on the terms also.
Fees and Financial Aid
An education loan can be availed when you join, bankers would contact themselves and they will be really lenient on the terms and documentation. Also, there is a bank on the campus so its really smooth
Campus Life
campus life is really good. the batch is so diverse and has students from almost all of the states. gender ratio has also been maintained. extracurricular events are organized by various clubs which are there in the college. so competitions are conducted so regularly that you would need to choose.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, the hostel is one of the best things about IIM Trichy. you are given separate rooms with AC and bed and everything which you don't find elsewhere. hostel charges are included in the fees as everyone is supposed to stay in hostels.
Alumni/Alumna
yes, very good interaction between seniors and juniors. very helpful during the transition phase when you are new into the MBA journey. made some very good friends.
Admission
CAT exam and then Personal Interview. Around March and session starts in June. I opted to do an MBA because I wanted to learn business practices among the best students in the country. Finance speciality made me choose IIM Trichy as it is considered best among new IIMs for finance.
Faculty
There must be around 65 full time faculties with many good guest faculties. they are experts in their field with unique academic as well as industry experience. apart from that, regular guest lectures are also organized by the faculties and the clubs for the respective subjects by the industry leaders.
