Remarks

Availablity of course was the main reason as only a few colleges offer it. The fascinating thing about my College is the locality and the surrounding area. As college holds a good NIRF ranking,I think I chose it right. The only problem is the distance from my home,its distant.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course syllabus is old its must be changed. In my opinion there must be practical knowledge too which we can see in daily life. Use of computer and other related instruments would be a great option. Let's come to the Faculties; they are very good but the problem is infrastructure as there is lack of full resources that can support Geographical environment and the students learning.

This year many major companies like Deloitte, Marks, American express,Spencer,Uber,NIIT,KPMG etc. Have visited the College and recruited students. The Average package is 3.5 lakhs. Highest package received was 6 lac. Total 75 companies visited.

College Events

It's going good. Recently the annual fest had taken place where a lot of students came to participate. The event was good enough and big to attract the people (colleges, societies) Cultural festivals very also good as there are societies for each things eg. Dance,Drama,Fine arts,Music etc.

Campus Life

To put it simply it's not so exciting. Although the basic and required infrastructure is on the ground and working well. Sports facilities are good but the Playing ground is not up to the mark,if I talk about wifi it's good too. Library consists of around 1 lakh books which is really nice. But equipment for the sub-science (eg.Geography) courses are not either available or limited.

Truth About Hidden IPCW (DU)

Placement Experience:

Since i am 2nd year myself, hearing from seniors, seeing placement cell activities and reading reports, placement at ipcw are decent but far from perfect. The placement drive is not as huge or reliable as some commerce Acc. to the nirf report, for ug courses out of 1204 eligible students 118 got placed, which is roughly 9-10, for pg course, out of 100 eligible students only 6 got placed. Median package for UG was 6.20 lakhs per annum, and for pg is 6.7 lakhs per annum. In earlier years (2022-23) , median UG package was higher. The highest package went to 23 lakhs per annum which was quite impressive. It was from DE Show and co., Wipro, Capgeminie etc. there are regular recruiters like DE. Shaw abd co.,Wipro, Capegemini, Godrej properties, Sirion Labs etc. What i feel personaly as an eco hons. student unless i build extra i cant really expect placement. Masters and competetive exams are next option

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

During my application process, CUET was introduced and there were so many confusions at the moment and I think somewhere I didn't fill my preference sheet well. I didn't want Dyal singh for sure, but I think it was written in my fate to be here and I a here now so I am utilising the good parts of the college as much as I can. Dyal Singh College Review

I wanted to apply to Delhi university and you had to appear in CUET. The course eligibility included subjects such as accountancy, English, maths and economics. No cutoffs were released before appearing for the test and even before filling out preference sheet for colleges. Application form was available on the official website of CUET.
