Remarks

I chose this college because it's a part of DU, and this course because I have a interest in Computer Science. Other than this college I opted for many colleges, and I didn't finalise this course for me but due to time constraints I chose this college and course.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course Curriculum is Awesome except Python isn't incorporated yet. According to our course, we have internships opportunities which provide enough to industrial exposure in many opinion. All the faculties I know who taught us and some of other courses whom I know are Awesome, names: Dr. Sameer Anand, Onkar Sir, Rini Bhagaur Ma'am, Sumit Sir, Anamika Ma'am, Shikha Ma'am, Latika Ma'am, Juhi Ma'am, Aditi Ma'am, Soma Ma'am, Pooja Ma'am, Chandravir Sir, Om Kumar Sir.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Placement Experience

Actually I want to do post grad so I didn't involve myself much in placements and internships but I've heard they're very well in terms of salary and stipend and popularity. For CS, internships offered were less in number as compared to other courses so CS students often opted for interships from outside our college.

College Events

Our college has More than 30 societies, cultural and academic both, most of them are well known and our college holds the annual cultural festival named Crescendo, its big but not much big and footfall is around 1000 students max.

Campus Life

All are great except our ground is small, cricket and football and volleyball in the same small ground, Badminton/Basketball court yet to be built but portable Badminton net is available, table tennis table also available. Library and labs are well equipped and awesome and wifi sometimes doesn't reach in all the parts of the building but its speed is very very fast 100mbps maybe but downloads at 20-30 mbps.

A great learing experience- my college review

Course Curriculum Overview:

I didn’t get into medical college. The curriculum is not that good in my course. Practical should be more focused and research papers. Timing is just 2 hrs for core paper many students exam are left for writing in short duration

Ignou: Flexibility And Disappointment

Placement Experience:

Placements in IGNOU are quite limited compared to regular universities. Since IGNOU is an open and distance learning university, it does not have a strong campus placement system like DU or private colleges. There is a Campus Placement Cell (CPC) that conducts job fairs and recruitment drives at some regional centers, but these are not very frequent and mostly depend on the location. Usually, students who are in their final year or have completed the course can apply, but there is no fixed semester rule since the system is flexible. The companies that visit are not very large in number and vary every year. Some private firms, NGOs, BPOs, insurance companies, and small IT firms have participated in the past. The roles are generally entry-level such as sales, customer support, data entry, insurance advisor, or junior IT support. There are very limited opportunities for core mathematics or research roles through placements. As far as packages are concerned, the average package is usually around ?2.5 LPA to ?4 LPA, but since IGNOU is an open university, it cannot be expected to have the same placement levels as regular colleges with full-time classes. Also, the percentage of students placed is very small because most IGNOU students are either working professionals, homemakers, or people preparing for competitive exams, so placements are not the main focus. Many students use the degree as a qualification while pursuing their own career path outside. I am currently in my 2nd year, so I do not have personal placement experience yet. The data I have mentioned here is based on internet sources and feedback from other IGNOU students. From what I have learned, placements exist but are very limited, and one should not rely only on them for career building.
