Remarks

Jai hind college is one of the oldest college in Mumbai. It has an amazing environment. The course and the structure is pretty amazing. It is an autonomous college thus the rules and regulations are pretty nominal.

Course Curriculum Overview

The BCom course is not that good. There are hardly people who attend the classes. Teachers usually don't take classes. In a class of 300, there would be 10 or 15 students sitting for a lecture. The examination paper is too easy and thua everyone can score very well.

Placement Experience

Our college has great alumni who have been very successful in their lives. They usually come to the campus and interact with us and guide us on how to go further in life. This gives a great exposure to students to actually be in touch with such people.

College Events

There are endless activities organised in the college. We not only organise festivals but go and participate in different festivals across the country. I have myself represented college in various fests like Numero Uno, Ka-Ching, etc

Placements in my college are decent but not very high. students usually become eligible from the final year and few companies visit for roles like accounting assistant, sales, customer service. The average package is usually around Rs.2LPA-Rs.3LPA.

Due to NEP the course has been more developed to the students and teachers also explain the topocs to us very clearly and the thing should be change that the timing of the paper are at morning time which is at 7:30am it should be 10 or 10:30 because this time the students get late to the paper and didnt get time to prep.

There are no campus placements offered in my college. The placements after completinh the course are great About 80% of students are placed. The highest package offered/expected for bcom course at this college is 5 6 lpa, About 90% of the students get internships easily with this course at the position of bank accountants etc.

Placement Experience:

De Shaw, and Bain Capital are among the biggest companies and lighter companies are also many. Visa and all are also there which are rare otherwise. For b.com though 30-40k is what is offered but I feel it's fair enough.

Placements society of college is just a decade old and still top companies like Zues Capital, Barclays, and Icici bank are among the top colleges that have become a part of ecosystem where 30-40 students is what each companies hires every year.
