Remarks

This college is situated in God's own country Kerala where the quality of education is the best whole over India. Secondly this college has an awesome record of campus placement, experienced faculty, excellent campus environment and most importantly the tuiton fees is highly affordable.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our course is updated every 4 years including new technologies and innovations around the world. Industrial visits are conducted to provide us a good industrial exposure. Faculties are very friendly and helping in nature. Especially our 4th semester faculties are the best.

The companies that visit our campus for placemnets are TCS, Infosys, Quest global, Experion, Accenture, BYJU's, MRF etc. Placemnet process consists of 2 rounds, first round is the technical round and the students who qualify the first round get to second round which is the personal interview round. Our notable alumni is Byju Raveendran, CEO of BYJU's. Our alumni networking is pretty good for excellent job referrals. Our Entrepreneurship cell has more than 10+ working startups every year.

College Events

Campus life is very good. Their are many events held in our college of which the biggest event is the Xplore which is a Techno-Mangement-Cultural Fest and always for this event BYJU's is our Primary Sponsor. The event witnesses participation from 50+ colleges and 3000+ students.

My campus infrastructure is very good. It has facilities like Central library, 50 MBPS speed WiFi connection, separate labs for all branchs like Material testing lab, Thermal engineering lab, Fluid machinery lab etc

Hostel Facilities

Their are 2 Mens Hostel blocks and each block has the capacity to accomodate 180+ students. The hostel facility can be availed during the time of admission at the hostel office. Depending upon your home residence you will be given accomodation. For example if only 2 1 seat is left and both A and B are applying for it and suppose B is 400 kms farther than the college as compared to A then B will be given the accomodation.

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was never interested in engineering. I passed KEAM entrance exam. So my parents forced me to become an engineer. Since I was interested, I thought food technology might be a good branch in engineering. So I got admission in KUFOS through allotment. The course is actually good . In the 1st year, you study basic engineering, 2nd year onwards food related courses are taught. If you are a student who only have the intention to study you will find this college easy to adjust. They provide all facilities to study. There is no particular frequency for a semester. Even though academic calender is there for each batch it is not followed properly. In this college the course may last upto 4.5 years. Due to this reason the students ask the management to cut shot semester breaks so that they won't loose 1 year.

An honest review of GCE KANNUR by a student

The college is merit based admission college, to get admission in this college you have to write an entrance exam which is KEAM and I have a rank of 16000 in KEAM So the college I first confirmed admission was GEC Kozhikode which was a good college but the campus was too small so there was a spot admission which was held by GCE kannur and I applied for it The admission process is managed by KEAM they give you a date to take admission and the process gets done in 2hrs you have to be physically present with your parents , The overall admission experience was smooth and well managed by the faculties...Read More
