Remarks
Techno India University is one of the best private Engineering college in Kolkata. The University has well academic as well as social activities environment. The University has a great campus and the environment of the University is very well. Moreover, the college has good impression in giving good placements. Techno India University has good infrastructure, well decorated classrooms and modern labs as well as a dynamic and vibrant set-up to make not just good -students but professionals.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course syllabus is up to date. Yes, I'm getting enough industrial exposure. Faculties are very good, they are very helpful and we, the students gets a very clear opinion about something we had a question on from them. Dr. Rajeshwar Panja (Physics professor) is very good faculty, his way of teaching is very passionate and very helpful.
Internships Opportunities
As I'm a first year student, that's why i haven't yet opted for any internship but i have the willing to opt an internship from the second year.
Placement Experience
Lot of companies visited for the recruitment from which Infosys, Cognizant, Amazon, TCS, Wipro, IBM, Oracle are the major recruiters. The placement session starts in the month of September and continues till the month of July. The placement office initiates the recruitment process by sending invitations to the reputed companies. The recruiters view the resumes of the candidates at the portal and conduct pre-placement sessions, if required. Then the campus interview dates are finalised by the recruiters and then, communicated to the students. The companies conduct WAT, GD, technical interviews and HR rounds to pick the deserving candidates. At the end of the recruitment session, the companies submit a list of the selected candidates.
College Events
Campus life is just full of fun and enjoyment as there are number of events helds in the campus such as departmental fests, technical fests, sports events, annual cultural fests named "Sahotsava", in which the university invites popular figure of the society and the fest last upto 3 days. The fests became more attractive with the decorations done by the students and various programs such as dance, singing, fashion show, reciting, beat-boxing are organised. Sometimes special guests like the professor of other colleges and the former students of the college comes to make the show bigger.
Campus Life
My University campus has well infrastructure, campus has badminton court as well as volleyball court and has the proper space for playing cricket, football and the university organizes no of sports events which helds in the campus. Here's a good wi-fi connection in the campus. Campus has the great and attractive library with a no of books which can help the students to study the course they are pursuing at ease. The library can afford 22-25 students at a time for sitting and reading in the library. The laboratories are modern with all modern equipments, computer lab is very big with more than 50 computers with updated qualities.
