Remarks

Since childhood, computer was one of my favourite subjects and it's a general notion that engineering is a good option for quick settlement. By the influence of these two impacts, I took food technology. The course pattern could have been designed better. The tech fest (named EDGE) of our college is the second the largest in Eastern India and the cultural fest also holds a paramount position in Kolkata.

Course Curriculum Overview

Teachers are deep down helpful and amiable enough. They work for their students dedicated and passionately. They always emphasize on practical more than theory which ought to be done in a technology based course. The course curriculum is pretty apt. It helps the students to get much knowledge about industry before joining.

Placement Experience

The placements were pathetic. Most of the students didn't get the job. And still they are jobless as the market of IT is pathetically down. Even those who got the job are not in IT they are calling and disturbing the innocent people as the department is BPO.

College Events

The college facilities was good as definitely it is a private college we all know that. The food in the canteen is pathetic as the students from Rajarhat came and broke the canteen of saltlake campus don't know the reason as I was not admitted at that period.

Campus Life

In our department, we have sound labs with modern equipments where the students can get acquainted with the technologies being used at present in the food companies all over the world. Hostels' facility and their food is not recommended. But our college is pretty active in different sports and games.

A comprehensive review of MAKAUT , WB

Placement Experience:

from 6/7 th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. Infosys visited with around 22-23 offers , Cognizant visited with arount 15-16 offers , TCS visited with several offers(not sure how many) , that's it the big names. Apart from these small startups and companies visited too. Highest package offered was 11lpa by TCS , 9.6lpa by infosys, 6.48lpa by Cognizant. Profiles were ASE in TCS , PAT in CTS , SET in Infosys. The percentage of students placed was less arount 30-40% , mostly because the curriculum lacks placement prep. I have joined Cognizant as a Programmer Analyst Trainee after graduating .

ELIGIBILITY FOR CAMPUS PLACEMENT: At Brainware University students generally become eligible for campus placement from the final years of their course. For many programs placemnet preparation sactivities such as aptitude training, soft skills development, resume building, mock interviews begin earlier, you can say that these activities are incoporated from the 1st semester itself. COMAPINES VISIT: Several reowned and reputed compaines from IT, management,healthcare,media, and core sectors visits the university for campus recruitment. Placement drive include companines from domains such as software services, consulting,education,sales digital marketing etc. For my domain CSE AIML companies like Infosys,Amazon,Cognizant,Adobe etc visits. Each year multiple students receive job offers through campus drives and some students also secure multiple offers depending on their skills and performance. HIGHEST AND AVERAGE PACKAGE OFFERED: The highest package offered varies by course and recruiter and also with top performing students receive highest packages based on their role requirements and skills. It range from 12 LPA to 45 LPA. The average package offered to students is competitive for a private university and aligns with industry standards for entry level roles. These generally range from 3.5 to 8 LPA. PRECENTAGE OF STUDENTS GETTING PLACED: Placement outcome mostlky depend on academic performance, attendance, communication skills, technical knowledge, and participation in training sessions. Placement was average if you have good background knowledge so you will definitely get placed. After 7th semester companies started coming and also there is different criteria for all companies like some company required more than 8 CGPA that completely dependent on company preferences. The average package is 3.5 lpa .Most of the student get hired by tcs. Placement success based on branch and skill.

Mainly mass recruiter companies like TCS, wipro, Infosys, cognizant comes here.Some top notch mncS like oracle,amazon, Microsoft also comes here .One senior of our previous batch got 1 cr Per annum in off campus way. Avg package is 10 lpa like . Jft and pst branch has full 100% placement. My plan after getting the degree is to be placed in top notch mnc & work as SDE.
