Remarks

Because it has a good rank in NIRF. It is nearest NIT from my hometown. In my state it is one of best college Iever seen. The facilities are provided not that great but it is satisfied. The food which provided by our mess is familiar with my culture.

Course Curriculum Overview

It is satisfied. Not so good. The main thing is professor are highly qualified but core structure is based on reading not so many practical implementation. Overall as NIT Course structure is good. All academic members like Deans are very kind and hear your problem and solve them with high priority.

You can see clearly through the nirf portal. But I highlighted some of this like microsoft, Goldman Sach's, Accenture, Amazon,TCS, Tata Steel, Adobe. Our alumni network is very strong. Every our college organized a Grand Alumini Meet-Up

College Events

Campus is full of enjoy and fun. I genuinely say when you stay at hostel you forgot your home life. In our college two fest are organized. One in the month march which is our cultural fest. Another is the month of November which is our tech fest mainly known as Aarohan.

Fees and Financial Aid

In our college there is a SBI branch which provides you student loan facility which cover all most all of your expenses like institute fee and hostel fee. All type scholarship like NSP & state scholarship like Oasis all you get. But the condition is you get only one scholarship at this whole period of your journey

Campus Life

Library is good enough. But internet facility is worst. Sport facilities are good. We have two big playground. Labs are well maintained. Overall Campus is so green though city is very polluted. For some practical implementation we have a workshop facility.

Hostel Facilities

For 1st student hostel is very good but wifi is not good and separate lan connection not provided. But from the 2nd & 3rd hostel building is very poor but food is awesome and you use your own lan facility. For final year student our college provided personal room and all facilities are good. From 1st -3rd year student accommodation is 3 person in a room and all basic facility like bed,table,chair,almirah are provided.

Hostel Fee: INR 26000 per year

Placement Experience:

The college average placement are 6 lakh per annum and in my branch out of 64 student only 30 God placement but the mistake is of the students because many companies are visiting our colleges but they couldn't find the talent required for the skilled person they required

Placement Experience:

From Third semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies like P360, EY, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Neutanix, BinaryWorks and few more visited our college for placements and mostly 15 to 20 offers were made Highest package was around 5 to 6 lpa 50% students were placed I am now preparing for govt jobs and side by side also applying for offcampuses. I have also given CUET for pursuing M. Tech

Placement Experience:

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

From 6th semester students become eligible to for campus placements(internships as well as full time offer). 105 companies visited in 2025 and many package offered by them based on student's skill. highest palcement : 45 LPA offered by amazon. Percentage of students getting placemnets : 86%. After getting the degree my plan is to take a decent job and to be finanancially stable.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from 7 and 8 semester also their are many placement on thee intern companies. thier are total of 50 t0 60 companies that visits year which leads to very good placement percentage, in mining its above 90 percent. companies which come are infosys, microsoft, google , coal india, tcs, pwc etc. the higest pacage was 39 lacs by coal india. as mentioned above the placement is very good and almost everybranch placement is between 79 to 95 percentage of student which are placed, their are many mass recruiter if you didnt get the best pacakge you still have the chance to get a good package from the mass recruiter. my plan after degree is to advance in computer science even if i dont have the branch but i have the passion to do coding and become a web developer also i will try to get some more degree like mba and mtech and i will also try if i get selection to study abroad.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 7th sem. The names of comanies visited are TCS, Infosys, Capegimini,Tech mahindra etc. Some students Got 2 offer laters . Highest packages last year was 47 LPA (off Campus) 27LPA ( on campus). Average pakage was 5-6Lpa. The job role is Software Development. Percentage of Students Got placement is 92-95% In my Deoartment. Other is Around 70_90%. My plans to take placement from product based company.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I applied for multiple NITs During Josaa Counselling but my top 5 suitable choice according to my home location and considering other limiting factors was NIT Rourkela, NIT Silchar, NIT Durgapur, NIT Patna and IIEST Shibpur. Apart from these, I have also Applied for Calcutta University and Jadavpur University. I have got approval from NIT DGP,Calcutta University and Jadavpur University. But I have chosen NIT because of better Placement records and better campus Life. Moreover it's an Institution of of National Importance and Hold a good NIRF rank. So I preferred this choice above others. I wasn't rejected from the above colleges, but simply i didn't get the eligible rank for them. And the 3 which I got, i choosed the best among them. The Admission process of NIT DGP was through Josaa and CSAB counselling. The College and the Branch will be alloted to you according to your rank in the JEE MAINS Examination. The Closing rank of this exam in 2025 of General Category for the lowest Branch in BTech is 63387. The overall admission process for the college, apart from hostel allotment, was completely online. 14-15 documents were to be submitted in pdf format in the specific website provided. I was getting all nits of india and also some iits.The only reasons of not choosing them is branch ,i was getting lower branches in all other colleges so i choose this. I think this was the best college onmy rank. NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

I applied to IIEST Shibpur and was getting ECE there but I chose this college because of its brand name, infrastructure and placement which are all way above shibpur. No I did not get any rejection form college I applied for.
