Remarks

Its website says its the 4th best media college and i had a campus visit too. it has a good infrastructure required for media studies. ranging from studio to audio visual labs etc.i opted this course cause i wanted to develop my skills on screen as well as off screen.and the course provided for both.

Course Curriculum Overview

Its a good experience overall. the course syllabus is often updated as what we are studying is completely different from what are senior were taught and same goes for the juniors where they have something new being taught.

Placement Experience

Placements are fine.as many opt to choose higher studies hence the buzz for placement is quite less, but if ur looking for placements u ll surely get one as ilead has an active placement cell which does ensures to get its students placed though the packages are not that great.

College Events

Well its same as different colleges, its just that we dont have grand events like others do. When u join there’s an orientation which is quite interesting then u do have sessions on weekly basis with other cultural fests like managedia and adrenaline.

SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.

Placement Experience:

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.
