Student's Review On Thapar Institute Of Engineering And Technology - [Thapar University], Patiala

Assorted placements are being introduced in this Institute, especially for the branches COE,CSc, which made an eye popping reaction while analysing about the college. Moreover, the teachers, study plan, extra-curricular activities and societies are all very comforting and constructive.

The course syllabus was kept up to date after each semester change. Practicals and Tutorial classes were able to give us proper insights on the applications of what we studied. If I give an average score of faculty members, I'd say 5/10 as experience and ability to provide a clarified message has been a little bit of struggle for some teachers but the knowledge they have is marvelous. That's why, there lecture notes and materials help us a lot.

Google, Amazon, JP Morgan. I myself work in a startup named as Incube3 which is originated by 3 of my seniors which provides ideation, designing and technical services to other startups and establishing companies.

Our college has a plethora variety of societies and fests which concentrate on each and every branch inclusive of Cultural and Entrepreneurship based activities. Every society/fest demeanour an event for a span of 4-5 days or specific dates in months to keep the link between the students intact along with indulging everyone in extra curricular activities and learning activities.

Every hostel have their own respective Gym which I'd rate 6/10. The WiFi facilities is limited to only one device per user in the whole campus so that it doesn't get crowded. The library of our college is very good in terms of infrastructure, security as well as the number of books per subject required. Several Group Discussion rooms are also made for students/faculties for meetings and projects. The labs are maintained very nicely and has all the equipments that are required for respective subjects.

Presently, TIET faced several problems regarding hostel allotment due to overflowing applications of students. So it is a bit onerous to get a seat for a particular hostel in terms of person's interest. For overall rating of hostels, I'd score 7/10 in terms of infrastructure, 6/10 in terms of Food and Services. The fees structure of Hostels per semester ranges from Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 50,000.
