Course Curriculum Overview

4

The main thing I am influence by course is industry based curriculum like web development in sallybus, python like language . Real -world connection is when go for 2nd year they ask where you want to go like web development, data science, product managing, cyber security like path then they teach you like this. My suggestion is only why they teach electronic and machinical in cse branch. In semester they are three type of exam there CA(class assignments in every 5th week) Mid term(in 3 month) End term

Internships Opportunities

4

Companies and Roles Offered Many colleges partner with leading organizations such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Siemens for internship opportunities. Roles commonly offered include Software Developer Intern, Data Analyst Intern, and Project Engineer Intern. Projects and Outcomes The internships usually involve real-world projects like developing software modules, data analysis, and project management tasks. Outcomes include hands-on experience, enhanced technical skills, exposure to corporate environments, and sometimes a pre-placement offer.

Placement Experience

4

In LPU placement process usually start from 6th semester onwards. Many good companies come to campus like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, Amazon and few product based also. Some startups also visit. The no. of offers are quite large every year because batch size is big. Highest package I heard was around 40 LPA but that is very rare, only 1-2 students get. Average package is around 5–6 LPA for CSE branch. For other branches it is little bit low. Almost 80-85% students who are seriously preparing gets placement from college. College also provide placement training and soft skills classes which help in interviews.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee for a year is 2.8 lakhs as college mentioned on the every document but in reality no one pay that much fee for this college.Becouse university has a scholarship test lpunest that is very easy to crack 50% scholarship from that.So maximum persentage of students pay only 1.4 lakhs for the one year also my fee is 1.4 for a year.means "semester fee =70000". And I also applied for financial aid but they don't give I don't no why .I think they give this only small chunks of students like 140 students which is very less. The amount of scholarship every student is 70 thousand.in my opinion.

Campus Life

4

LPU is like too much mixed, sometimes fun sometimes headache. Campus is really big like a city, u literally get lost first month ????. Social life is good, u meet people from everywhere India and also foreign, but honestly sometimes its too much crowd and noisy. Clubs are there for dance, music, coding, robotics, drama all things, but half of students join just for timepass and certificates lol. Still if u are serious u get chance to perform in events. Fests like One India and One World are crazy, full campus is decorated, food stalls and cultural programs, feels nice. Technical events also keep happening, hackathon, code jam etc but management sometimes mess up timings which is irritating. Library is big, AC and books also lot, but honestly many students just go for AC sleep ????. Classrooms are ok, projector and smart board but sometimes network sucks and teacher also struggle. Sports facility is very good, huge ground, gym, swimming pool, everything is there, so if u are into sports u will enjoy. Hostel life is normal, rooms fine but mess food sometimes taste like shit, so most students eat outside in food courts.

Admission

It is in this price range no college provide that much facilities and opportunities they provide so and also I get the scholarship so I decided to go for this college I know college invite big tech company in college compus .

Faculty

5

Course is good and course structure is for btech cse is in my opinion is great in entire course we learn four types of computer language,in the first semester itself we learn about html css javascript.which good after one year they ask for our choice which path way we want to choose like web development, data science,or many more

Night Life

5

Nightlife at LPU is pretty lively, especially if you’re up for hanging out with friends after classes. People mostly chill at Uni Mall, grabbing coffee or quick bites at places like Coffee Day, Dosa Plaza, and Arabica Café—their pizza is popular but a bit expensive honestly. Gyms and gaming zones stay open late so there’s always something to do, and you’ll spot groups just relaxing on the lawns or amphitheatre, tossing jokes and sharing snacks. The library’s open till late, but honestly after a long day, most people just want to unwind and gossip. Hostels are pretty safe, but they have kinda strict timings—girls need to be inside by 7 PM (summer), while boys get more leeway and can chill outside till late. Wardens and security guards are everywhere, so not much chance of sneaking out, but at least it feels secure. Mess food is alright, but lots of students prefer Maggi or street food nearby for late-night snacking.

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

The placement of our college is good but its lack to bring big names but overall it's 3 out of 5 as it's basically focus on bringing software companies but our stream is of electronics so we donot have that much knowledge about coding so we lack to get placed this is the only disadvantage of the placement cell here

In 3rd semester a student is eligible for campus placement but it is all upto to students that they have to maintain a good cgpa and skills for interviews. In Chitkara university a good number of companies visited like Microsoft, google and they provide 100+ offerletters. 85-90 % students get placed in Chitkara university. After getting degree I firstly join to the company .

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak. That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
