Remarks

Actually our college management is quite good but they can improve this.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I am a student of Bsc mathematics in this college so I am speaking about the course curriculum of Bsc mathematics. First of all exams are held in semester system in every sixth month. So we need to cover two core course papers, 1 paper of general subject, and one paper of language and EVS in 1st and 2nd semester.Three papers of core course and want paper of SEC( skill enhancement course) we need to give in 3rd and 4th semester. So perfect for our future it helps me to think about research in mathematics in future. And first of all we need to learn physics and chemistry beside mathematics and we also need to learn language and EVS. and in 3rd and 4th semester we need to learn some programming languages like c, c++, Sagemath, R programming, so all this subjects is making me in a better professional

Placement Experience

0.5

We don't have any placements in our college. And we also don't have any internship facilities in our college but some of institutions have the internship facilities in which our palms and soles motivate us to go and learn something new. HOD always told us that to go in some seminar and motivate us to join every seminary in our capabilities. We have join around 8 seminars in two years. Some of seminars also held in our college.

College Events

3

First we when entered in the college we have two types of freshers welcome one is given by the college and another is given by the our departments. Then we have a our college social very big but we don't have any celebrities in it. We always have a teacher's day celebration where we take part. In spite of that we have our sports in every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our college is very feasible fee structure. In our stream we need to pay around 5 to 6 thousand in every year.we need to deposit fee in the UCO Bank every year August. And we need to pay some exam fee around 600 to 700 rupees in every six month in the time of examination. We don't need to pay any additional fees to secure our admission.Total fee structure of 1 year it will be around 19000. In our college the fees is very less in comparing with other colleges under Calcutta University.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no scholarship opportunities. I don't want it for any educational or or any scholarship. In spite of that I have a scholarship kanyashree which I need to submit in my college.

Campus Life

4

College is a female college we have a good quality of physics and chemistry lab there is various types of competitions health like recitation, debate, singing, dancing. Here majorities of students are hindu. And then the second majorities are Muslim.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I did not opted for the hostel I can do daily journey by train I need 1hour to reach in the college from my home. But I know some of hostel details from my friends. We have two floors hostel in there there are dormitories. Is a study room of a capacity of 15 students. Have some facilities like TV drinking water and kitchen. Allowed to use cell phone but students are not allowed to go outside of the college area.

Alumni/Alumna

Our seniors are very helpful and supportive. They help us in many occasions. When we entered in the college they came and introduced themselves which was the most loved experience with them.

Admission

first I needed to Apply in the college after publishing the result of HS via online website. Application process started within 4-5 days of publication of result. Then the college authority published a date of publishing date of Merit list. In the respected date the merit list published. Then the students were call as their name in the merit list. Then the documents were verified and I got admission in the college. The main reasons choosing this college was very prestigious college for girls. I know some senior who was studying in that college they told me that teachers are very supporting and classes are very productive there and it was near to Sealdah railway station so it was a better communication for me.

Faculty

4.5

So we have five permanent faculties and two guest lecturers. L In the faculties we have three female faculties and two male faculties. Among them two mam and 1 sir are of mid age 40 to 45 and and want mam is old like 60 to 62 years and one sir is quite young I think 35 years. All the three females faculties are PhD holders. And also two sir have MSc. They have a good knowledge in their field and they are very good lecturing skills. Our HoD Dr. Anjana Bhattacharyya has a strong base in pure mathematics, Real analysis. And our sir Sri Basudev Siddhya is very good in applied mathematics his teaching skill is quite unique but good for me (some of students don't like his lectures but I don't know why). We have 22 to 25 classes per week and all the teachers try to take 6 to 7 classes per week. In spite of that whenever we need their help we can contact them via phone or WhatsApp or in the college in this in the faculty room.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

I feel in love with mathematics in plus two time. The coursee are more application based when compared to other. Out college being an autonomous college has good grip to keep up to the level of good education. Overall teaching methods and syllabus are very good. Frequency of exams are troublesome during the last time of year because all the programmes like youth festival annual day etc come together

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.
