Remarks

Every thing starting from fest to workshops and faculty teachings are appreciated by each of us and even improving along with the infrastructure in every year of growth. Studying in this prestigious college i feel very proud to shout my college name in front of students of other college.

Entrance Preview

I gave WBJEE that is a state entrance exam, and secured a rank of 11733, certainly being one of the well known Govt colleges it could give me special quota and oppertunities in case of the placements so i did not miss the chance of getting an admission to this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The basic course follows subjects as per WBUT, i choosed Mechanical Engineering and the college has full of resources as required in this stream. Student not only get to see but also gets a hands on experience on many types of technology used early as well as in present generation which is the basics to develop a young engineer. The college balance the pressure handled by the students in bot theory as well as practicals. Innovation is well appreciated in this college and student also gets a space to build and discuss about their new creative ideas.

Internships Opportunities

Not having that much experience since i am only in 2nd year.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements are good enough for the computer science students and even for the core ones who are intending to apply for the IT jobs. But i do think that the college needs to improve the core placements knowing that regular and constant tries are being made by our principle sir and HODs for the same. Last year we had our final year seniors placed in named companies like TCS, INFOSYS, WIPRO and many more with deservable income rates.

College Events

5

All types of events starting from cultural to technical fests are organised by our college.Last year we had a great Cultural fest that i cant forget till the next happens in this year. After seeing the crowd in the fest, one can guess that each person in that town must have visited the fest at least ones which actually took place for 3 days with full on entertainment after the visit and few minutes speech by our respected teachers. Underground authorities were called in this event which enriched our bodies with full life.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is just nothing when compared with those heavy semester fees taken by the private institutes. I am paying Rs 4000 for each semester. In this payments the college not only meets the machinery requirements but also the pay wages of our faculty members. There is a great support by our state government which pulls it forward the days of growth.

Fees and Financial Aid

Sc St And Obcs are having special quota during admissions as well as in the time of paying fees. Rabindranath scholarships are available for students and many more.

Campus Life

5

Hostels do not support girl admissions and hostel parties are quite good in any fests or pujas. College has different clubs which conduct various competitions for robotics, programming, ethical hacking, hybrid car making, etc. Along with technical clubs college also supports cultural clubs which conduct debates, film making, poetry story writing competitions etc. Students associations are responsible to inform and pull out all the talents from each sections of our college.Workshops and training are well organised by our college committee and associations while senior members along with experienced faculties are involved in this conduction. One positive thing that our college does not involve any type of political parties which harasses the students normal studies and scheduled classes. The college is rich with heavy machines in terms of cost so economic status can be remarked as good but even more space and machines are required in quantities.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Pgs are good enough to live independently and affordable at the same time.I pay Rs 3000 which covers up every thing including meal and living.

Alumni/Alumna

One great positive thing that i cant miss out is the almuni interaction between the college students. Each of us not only know about our seniors but also our friend circle is so large that it covers every students even from other streams.Seniors are somewhat strict and discipline suckers which is essential to run the association of such large committee with small fundings.

Exam Structure

Exams occur for every semester whose marks are sent to authorized university. Internals are conducted along with practical exams to give a performance review and space to analyse the mistakes befor the grand exams.

Faculty

4.5

I am having a great experience in theory part as the faculties are good enough to build the basics related to theory part for an student. Regular tests are also held by our teachers to examine the depth of basics of each student and to reflect the same to each of us.

I’d rate HIT’s placement opportunities as 7.5/10 overall. It’s very good for CSE, IT, and ECE, decent for Electrical and core branches, and improving every year with more companies visiting and better preparation programs. If you’re skilled and consistent — especially in coding, communication, and aptitude — you’ll almost certainly get placed before graduatin

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months
