It's a Great College

JEE, WB There is no interview process for the admission in this college. You will get direct entrance after selection of this college. Only 6 month college fee and hostel fee would be taken in the time of admission.

The syllabus and course curriculum is outstanding for the Textile Technology course, its very much modified and compilable for any National Level entrance. Every year there is at least 1 or 2 student ranking in top 10 in GATE. People used to clear all the Hardest exam of India like CAT, NIFT, WBCS, Bank exam.

I got two industrial training for 1 month during my college time. As its a very old college and very strong Alumnus, you can got national level training, some of the companies are. Vardhman Textile Limited, Welspun India Limited, Raymonds, Arvind Mills limited, Nahar Industries And Enterprise Limited, Bombay Dyeing and Fashion limited.

As I have already told Its a very old college and its has a very strong alumnus, so every year 100% placement took place. Some name of companies and their packages written below. Voltus Limited 3.6 lakhs per year, Vardhman Textie 3.6 lakhs per year, Welspun India Limited 3.0 lakhs per year.

As its a Government college, its fee structure is very low, only 3000/- rupees per semester. Student can submit the college fee in monthly basis also. There are no any extra cost taken by college. Student association take 400/- as games fee and 100/- for development fee once in the time of admission.

Berhumpore is a beautiful place, Its was set up by British. You will be amazed after seeing its cleanness, and of-course don't forgot to enjoy the bank of river BHAGIRATHI. There are 2/3 more engineering college in berhumpore, whenever college fest happen people used to get together in these colleges and enjoy the fest.

The entire course is consist of 8 semester, and each semester has 5/6 written paper and 5/6 lab test. Full marks of each paper is 100, out of which 70 marks carried out in final exam of semester and 30 internal mark are given by your teacher as per your performance in unit test which used to take place in the middle of semester.

No question about the quality of Faculty in this Dept. I don't know the current situation but in my time, in the of year 2004-2008, all of them were Doctorate and some of them have complete their PhD from UK also. They are very friendly and helpful also you can ask them help any time. We used to go their house asking for subjective help. Sometime student were got some financial help also from their teacher.
