The college gave me a lot of memorable moments and experiences. I got the opportunity to interact with a lot of big industrialists and business men. It also helped me understand various nuances of entrepreneurship and motivated me to work towards it.

The course curriculum is quite updated adhering to the skills that are needed in the management industry today. All the courses are compulsory for the first year students. Second year students can choose from a basket of courses that are available and are also encouraged to take up the international market exploration . The candidate is required to take up all the expenses during IMP.

Summer internships are taken up by students after first year. They are paid internships. Placements are quite good with offers from big companies like Ernst and young , Amazon and various banks. The highest package offered was 40 lakhs.

There are three major conclaves that take place in the university . The first one is the sankshetra conclave which focuses on operations and strategy . The second one is pariprekshya which focuses on finance and marketing . The third one is the yukti HR conclave .

Fees are quite feasible taking into account the scholarship that can be availed for meritorious performance. Fees amounts to 12 lakhs for 2 years including hostel, infrastructure and excluding mess and personal expenses.

There are various loan options available where the students can approach different banks. Financial assistance is also offered by the institute based on academics. Students are selected based on their MBA interview performance, previous academic records etc. The students who avail scholarship in first year can continue to avail it in the second year only if they maintain good conduct and cumulative grade point more than 2.96.

The extracurricular activities are really good and prove to be a great source of relaxation. Students are always encouraged to maintain good conduct with fellow batch mates and faculties. Various committees like media , PR are also set up.

IIM amritsar hostels consist of 2 or 3 BHK rooms with well equipped sports and gym facilities. The hostel fees is included in the 12 lakhs that are paid for 2 years. Mess fee is separate. It is paid in the beginning of each trimester.

The alumni committee is set up to manage various activities and events . The corporate mentorship programme is indeed one of the highlights. It acts as a bridge between the alumni and students . The alumni meet is also held every year where the alumni can connect with their batch mates and faculties . The alumni newsletter is also published to keep the alumni well informed about the status of the institute.

I secured admission in IIM through CAT. Students are selected for first round based on different sections of CAT, 10th ,12th grades, work experience and their UG grades. After I got through the first round I was selected for WAT and personal interview where the interview panelists quizzed me about a variety of topics. I was on cloud nine after I got the call that I was selected.

The faculty are professionals who have a vision to nurture and mentor budding entrepreneurs and industrialists. They also motivate the students to explore beyond the text books. We are encouraged to learn our subjects on our own.
