Remarks

Christ (Deemed to be University), located in the buzzing city of Bangalore will definitely give you another level of development to all your skills be it academic, co-curricular, or extracurricular. The college gives you a platform to step out of your comfort zones through participating in various competitions and other programs. The college has a great infrastructure and focuses research rather than spoon-feeding, thus sharpening one's skills. The college is managed by CMI fathers, and have a great deal about discipline, which at times some may find as strict, but it is always good for one's future. Even outside the college, you have a lot of opportunities to develop your interest and passion as well as to find a fun time with your friends. As a fresher, one will surely get wondered by the diverse population around her/him as there are students from different parts of the world.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course I am doing is BBA.LL.B (HONS) . The course is specially designed for students who interests in law and mainly to those who want to go in the corporate field. the subjects and electives are according to that. you will have both law subjects and nonlaw subjects like management, business communication, accounting, etc. the nonlaw subjects are there only for the first two years. the law school gives you a variety of opportunities to sharpen your skills through having different societies and committees, competitions like moots, advocacy, mediation, negotiation as well as encourages your to develop your research and writing skills. you will also have access to a huge library and other online resources. the faculties are very helpful and good.

Internships Opportunities

4

the college focuses on an internship for all the courses at any one point during the course. as far as my course is concerned, i have to complete around 5 internships. the college has a placements and internships cell which help you get internships in many firms. there are many who have done internships in big firms and later got placed in the same company. the college also gives importance to internships in NGO s also.

Placement Experience

Christ gives you a number of placements and job opportunities from so many companies including Goldman Sachs, Infosys, etc. there are a lot of budding entrepreneurs and the college gives whole support for the growth.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life is so good and infrastructure is great. you have a wide variety of competitions and fests to showcase your talents. the college always has some or the other fests happening. you have an ethnic day, darpan (competitions among different teams ), then there will be blossoms which is the intra department fest (both arts and sports) and winning teams will go to in blooms, which is the inter-department.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

you have hostel facilities inside the campus for both boys and girls. also, you have a number of hostels and PGs nearby the college. the college hostel does not have a mess but all the other facilities are good. I was in a hostel outside the campus. we had good food, and other facilities also. you have a different menu each day and it depends on different hostels and PGs. there are vegetarian PGs also. for campus hostel, you have to seek admission at the time of your college admission. for the rest, you will have to go there and ask for rooms.

Admission

At first, you will have to apply for the Christ University Entrance Test (CUET) through the University website. once you complete the test and pass it, you will get a call for an interview and you will have to go to college for it. then you will have a personal interview with 2 faculties and if you pass it, and then you will get selected according to that.

Interview Experience

3.5

Before the interview, they will ask you to write about something like why did you choose the college or you what do you think about certain things. then for the PI, you will have 2 interviewers. they will ask the usual interview questions and since you are opting law they might ask you certain questions related to it. then there is something called micro presentation where they will give you some topic to say about which is usually general. you will get the topics on the university website. you should be confident in the interview. you can choose to wear formals for the PI ( Indian formals are also not a problem) .

It is better to start internship in 2nd or 3rd year for proper legal understanding before a student graduates from the college. The college will provide practical knowledge but it does not encounter proper real life situatons.
