Remarks

Overall positive, but little bit expensive, ground may have been bigger, transport isn't so good. There are not many restourants inside the college campus So for campus residents there is no option to eat on weekends

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It is quite good. curriculum is same as the punjab University other colleges. and in maths we dont have any labs.but for practical subjects labs are vers good. they have 4 lab classes of 2 hrs per week

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements are good, many companies come annually and offer good packages. But afterall this all depends on student itself that how they perform. And recession is also going on so placements aren't that good.

College Events

5

There are many student chapters in the college so they organize many fests and programs and also college organize a technical fest each year. Also organizes Uurja which is a cultural fest and freshers party is also organized every year

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is increased every year. Mine is total of 1600000 for my course. But it's less for other courses and college is bit expensive In fact one of the most expensive private colleges in the country. But for my branch it's worth it.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not applied for any loan so cant tell about it. But college offers scholarships. One at a time of joining, if you are among top students you get 10% and after that if you are among top 10 in the semester then also you get a scholarship.

Campus Life

4.5

College has a ground, 4 badminton courts and a basketball court and volleyball outdoor court too. And labs are also very good and have specialized labs with all equipments. Every subject have well built labs and good lab assistants.

Alumni/Alumna

College has pretty good alumni network. In companies like Schlumberger, Weatherford, Baker Hughes, Reliance, ONGC, ExxonMobil, Shell, So pretty helpful for students. Also many teachers are from corporates.

Admission

I applied through JEE Mains and I was 3rd among 25 students so I chose Petroleum branch as the college is known and good for same. Other branches are also good like CCVT but I dont like IT so I went for Petroleum without second thought.

Faculty

3.5

In my opinion till 1st year all branches have same subjects so doesnt matter, but when we come to 2nd year it matters, some faculty are very good, some are average but some are not that good as they are pursuing their PhD so this could have been better

Placement Experience:

The placements are below average but the students were below average too. But there were some exceptions. Due to relaxation on attendance criteria most of the students opted to prepare of GATE or Government exams. Students were eligible for placements in the start of 4th year i.e. 7th semester. Around 30-40 companies visited for the CSE department (for the roles of software engineers and marketing). Highest package was 6 LPA and average package was around 3 LPA for CSE. Around 20 offers were made to our department. As for the other departments, the stats are available on the site. 20%-30% students were placed, both on-campus and off-campus. I was fortunate enough to secure an offer during on-campus placements.

Admission:

JEE mains provide the gate pass to enter into this college. We should have a great score in this exam to retain our place in this college. The only entrance is through JEE mains no more way. Instead to moving to other college I choose this because my brother did studied there a year before.
