Great college for aspiring doctors to start their studies. Ranks no.2 in India after aiims in overall academics and achievements

Delhi premeditated test DPMT. Being able to study in the same city as residence for a professional medical doctor course, brother also studying joining for the same course, reasonably affordable fees, opportunity to study in a very highly ranked institute were the reasons for joining.

Divided into three parts, each part had several subjects and vast course for each. It was almost incompletable. Often required cramming for many things. Making notes during class was a race and a necessity.

Internship was better than the course itself. Feeling of elation and being called a doctor was great. stipend was about 6000 per month in our days. No companies were allowed or ever came for the purpose of recruitment.

No companies were allowed in medical colleges. None had any sort of placement. In any case further studies are almost a necessity in medical field

Annual college festival was the only cultural festival. It was the only respite from hectic academic schedule. and it was done on a massive scale with participation from colleges across the entire nation

Very nominal. Was about 4000 per year in our days. This is simply a token given the great lab, academic, and all other facilities provided by the college. Exam fees was also a mere token and easily affordable by all strata of the society

No loans were necessary by any student in this govt funded college. Nor do I know any student who needed such loan. There was additional benefits in fee available for students from reserved categories.

Overall great. Campus life was very vibrant. Inter student intractions and comraderie were revelling. Having five year course and another batch in internship made for a large student community. tolerance to all aspects of life was high be it gender, ethnicity, race, religion or otherwise

Hostels were good and generally available to most students by 6 to 12 months. Mess was also reasonable. nearby markets and location of college was great too. Hostel fees was again very nominal.

Mam cos is the alumni association and is very active in holding alumni meet and felicitating alumni annually. Siver jubilee batch is felicitated each year in an a full day celebration. Cricket match and cultural programmes are also organized.

Exam is unique with equal weightage to written and practical exams. Vastness of the course lead to sleepless nights especially before the exams.

Faculty was very professional and well read. Lectures were of high quality. except for the vastness of course to be completed, most other parameters were excellent to say the least.
