Course Curriculum Overview
1st year of the college was quite chilled. But second year it was pretty much hectic as we had 5 subjects for both the semesters in second year. Exams were conducted half yearly. Each year was divided into two semesters. So in total we had six semester with four subjects each semester in first and third year and five subjects each semester in second year.
Placement Experience
Placements for Commerce department were above average as compared to other courses. Doing internships was completely dependent on a student. College does not mandate us to do the internships. Although they provide some of the opportunities but as said earlier it's all on a student. Main companies which came for placements were KPMG, EY, Delloites, etc
College Events
The main event hosted by our college was our annual cultural fest called Manjari. There are number of events that take place during the fest in which many number of colleges participate. Other events would include fests conducted by all the departments and various confrences and seminars were held from time to time.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees structure was very much feasible. It was around ?15000 each year. I don't remember it's bifurcation. Students who were in need were also given some scholarship. I am not very much familiar about that. And in addition to this there was examination fees which we used to submit in each semester individually. There they would charge for exams plus practicals and ?100 form fees.
Hostel Facilities
There were around 200 seats in total in the hostel. Our college has one of the best infrastructure of hostel in the whole Delhi University. It was a very open area with so much greenery and lot of space for studies. Our room sharing for first year was minimum 3 and maximum 5. But for second and third year room was shared by only 2 students.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors were really helpful especially hostel seniors. We never felt like they are our seniors. They were like our family. Every junior was so much comfortable with their seniors. They helped us in our studies as well as helped us to adjust in the new environment, new city.
Admission
Delhi University issues merit list on the basis of percentage received in the board exams are declared. I cleared that list and therefore got admission in that college. I am a commerce student so I always wanted to do my graduation in commerce.
Faculty
There was a good mix in the faculty. Some were really good whereas some were average. Mostly professord were dedicated to their duties and helped us in every possible way they could. We were allowed to go to them anytime and get our problems solved. Mostly all of them were very cooperative.
