One of the top college of Kottayam

Our college is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University Kottayam and follows the guidelines and parameters for various courses as laid down by the University. The program is crafted beautiful to space various sub-disciplines of the Botany during the three years of the program. Internal examination, practicals are conducted from time to time apart from the end semester examinations.

The placement and training cell of the college manages recruitment. The placement rate is decent with good number of firms coming for campus recruitment each year. However more opportunities are there for students from Computer Science and Commerce background then our discipline that is Botany. Internship support is provided by the college however it is mostly for the PG courses and only for a few UG courses.

Fee of the college is manageable and it has to be paid part wise at the start of each academic year. Fee for the three year program is around Rs 25, 000. It includes tuition fee and other miscellaneous charges.

I am not much aware of the scholarships that are at offer however educational loan facility is available from banks which I myself availed. I have heard about scholarship by the State Government of Kerala that is for meritorious students and scholarship from the side of University. Both are to be granted based on fulfillment of certain eligibility criterias.

Infrastructure of the campus is very well built and looks modern. The campus area is big and has lots of green space. As part of events the college on a regular basis organises workshops and seminar for the students on different topic in which guest lecturers also do visit the campus. For extra curricular activities there are many societies in the college from which one can choose the society of his/her own interest.

Application for admission can be made both online and offline. for offline application one has to purchase the prospectus and application from the college reception. It has to be duly filled and submitted along with the 10 + 2 marksheet, school leaving certificate and other documents. Online application is to be made through the same process on the online official portal on the website of the college. I applied through the online more for admission to the altitude because it is one of the popular highly ranked institute Kottayam.

Faculty of the college is experienced and has a vast teaching experience in their Kitty. Being a Science based course practical applications have more to do then theoritical reading and that is what they have inculcated in their teaching methodology.
