Course Curriculum Overview

4

Chemistry is one of the main subject in whole science and it contains practical along with theory.I preffered this subject because I don't really into bookish learning. It offers skilled learning also.Exam timing was relevant for a paper 2.30 hours and 60 marks for main subject and 80 mark for language.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees paid was semester wise.It is a 3 year course and the whole semesters fee paid would approximately 100000.Chemistry have lab facilities. So there is extra lab fees.It is an aided course so comparatively less fees with other self finance courses of other batchmates. There is merit based scholarship for general category students and some special scholarships for eligible students.

Campus Life

3

They conducted cultural days every Fridays.Along with that union day, arts day ,expo, ethnic day,and so on to improve students abilities. There were other celebration such as onam, Christmas and so on.There were several clubs such as Nss,Ncc,nature club and other clubs.

Admission

This college is situated at the heart of Ernakulam and transportation was very easy.I got admission from other colleges but distance was very long.Mainly students who having 80% and above in plus two got admission in trail allotment.Admission process is merit based and conducted in the main hall named pappali hall.

Faculty

3

For our class there were 5 faculty for 49 students who take different subjects.Personally I like Prince sir,Alex sir,Niffy Miss , Rajesh sir and so on .Mainly prince sir is very helpful and friendly and his teaching methods and style were very interesting and noticeable.Total of 32 exams including lab and complementary exams and probably first, third and fifth semester was difficult. But question paper was fine and answerable.

Night Life

3

There is an open gym facilities. Also my friends were in the hostels the college provided and they said it was good.Campus timing is from 8.00am to 3.30pm.Main places to hangout inside is stonebench and outside there were numerous number of places such as malls ,Marine drive , theatres and so on.Night is also safe.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

I feel in love with mathematics in plus two time. The coursee are more application based when compared to other. Out college being an autonomous college has good grip to keep up to the level of good education. Overall teaching methods and syllabus are very good. Frequency of exams are troublesome during the last time of year because all the programmes like youth festival annual day etc come together

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.
